About this property

Detached Bungalow central Beverley great location with parking

Unlike other properties, our bungalow "Minster Chimes" is genuinely located close to the centre of the historic market town of Beverley. It is only 5 minutes’ walk to numerous shops, restaurants and public houses. There are good rail and bus links to Hull (City of Culture 2017), York and the Yorkshire coast. No car required!

Sleeps 4 in two double bedrooms with plenty of storage space. The sunny and spacious kitchen diner faces south with an enclosed pleasant garden area and patio with garden furniture. There is a cosy lounge with a gas fire and a spacious bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. Facilities include flat screen TV and DVD, free WiFi, microwave oven, washing machine. A sofa bed in the dining area allows more flexibility in sleeping arrangements.
Free off road parking is available at the front of the property.
Recently Minster Chimes was the temporary home to visitors working on the new Flemingate shopping centre and we received this feedback:
"Hi Julia,
If I could say that Morton Lane accommodation in Beverley was really comfortable and it was a pleasure after a long days work knowing that I was going back to something that was home from home and could unwind very easy. The facilities within the home was second to none and all I had to supply was the food. Everything from clean linen, books to read and TV to watch were all at hand. Lastly the location of the bungalow was very handy as we didn't have our own transport so it was 15minutes walking to and from our workplace, 10minutes walking to the train station and a large Tesco was right across the street. Beverley town centre was also only approximately about minutes away.
I would like to thank Graham and yourself for the comfort of your own home, best of wishes and would look forward to returning one day if we ever get another project in the lovely town of Beverley. Adrian"

We've stayed a number of times now as the bungalow is comfortable and so well located. We arrived to find the boiler not working but Julia was very helpful by phone and talked us through problem solving. All fine and cosy after that!

A great place

We had a wonderful time. So central to shops, pubs, walks and bus/train stations. Plenty to do. Added bonus of parking too. Very comfy and spacious. All you could possibly need and very good communication.

It was much larger than it looks. Very comfortable. It had everything you could need in the kitchen with lots you would not expect in a rental property. The pictures do not do it justice. The location is very good short walk of three minutes to the market square. Great stay. Thank you Julia.

Perfect stay!

Minster Chimes feels far larger in real life than it appears in the photos. The house is spotlessly clean, the beds are extremely comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. We very much enjoyed the central location and breakfast in the garden with the Minster in the near distance! Would highly recommend!

A lovely place we took my 96 year old mother for Mother’s Day weekend it was fabulous every thing we needed the milk in fridge so we could have a cuppa so clean and such a well organised place thank you dawn

Superb Location G

Great holiday location in historic city; superb visitor destinations nearby, including the seaside. Local pubs very memorable and historic. The White Horse and Chequers micropub are especially recommended and both only five minutes walk away !

if you need to stay in beverley look no further than this bungalow. stayed a few times now. always enjoy my trip with family.like the shape of the kitchen. one can cook, theres at.v. and a nice size table for kids to play cards and games. nice big fried breakfast in the tesco supermarket accross the road. hornsea 13 miles away. i mile away from the train station where you can go into hull or have a day in brid or scarborough. shame the saturday market is not as big or full as it used to be.nice man on the market who sells discounted italian taps

Convenient location

The location was convenient and easily accessible. The amenities were just what my family needed. If we had not needed to be in another part of the country, we may have requested to book for a longer stay. Loved the back garden.

A delightful bungalow, conveniently placed for all the attractions, and the shops

It couldn’t have been better! Everything we needed was to hand, and every room was lovely and clean. Clear instructions for the various appliances, and a vase of flowers to welcome us. We’ve already booked for 2025.

Spacious Bungalow

We really enjoyed our three nights at Minster Chimes. It’s a really short and flat walk into Beverley centre, and across the road from Tesco. The road is quiet and it was very peaceful sat with our morning coffee in the large back garden. The bungalow is large, spacious, fully equipped, very clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable too. Host Julia was very approachable and responsive. I would highly recommend this homely accommodation.

A comfortable bungalow close to all amenities

We enjoyed our stay we have been several times before. The previous holiday makers had not washed up a lot of the crockery and cooking items so we washed what we wanted to use first. This is not usual for this property. Otherwise it was comfortable and welcoming.

Only problem was....

.......when the council dug up our pavement depriving us of access to the car parking area. The house itself was welcoming, clean, comfortable and within easy walking distance of the town centre. Beverley is a great place to base yourself for this area and minster chimes somewhere we would return to if coming again.

Very central location

The property is very centrally located so once you have parked you will not need your car to get around the town and there appeared to be plenty buses if you wanted to travel elsewhere. The property is a little dated but clean and there is plenty room in the living, dining & kitchen areas. The bedrooms are a little cramped but there was plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space. The bathroom was clean but needs updating. We were a little confused with the picture as this is taken from the rear of the property and shows a large garden which we enjoyed as we were there on a very sunny weekend. Huge Tesco supermarket opposite and a 3 minute walk into town.

My husband and I have lived in historic Beverley for over 20 years and we have loved every moment of it. From the rear of the bungalow you will be able to spot the roof of Beverley Minster and it is possible to enjoy the unusual melodic chimes every 15 minutes. I really enjoy wandering around the markets and popping into the small specialist shops. There are numerous superb eating and drinking venues within easy walking distance of Minster Chimes and it is an excellent base to visit the beautiful countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds. We hope you will come and visit and discover Beverley’s hidden gems and share our enjoyment.
