Set in the hills to the west of Sanremo, this charming apartment for 6 has wonderful sea views and makes a great base for a holiday on the Riviera dei Fiori.

Nestled on a quiet street, close to the hustle and bustle of the coast and Sanremo, this ground-floor escape features a comfortable living area with a sofa, traditional, painted dresser, a sideboard, flat-screen TV and a dining table.

French windows lead directly onto the terrace, which looks out over the Ligurian coast and the sparkling sea. Here guests can relax and dine al fresco, enjoying “la dolce vita”. The kitchen is well-equipped with a Mokka coffee machine, a cooker hob, oven, microwave and fridge/freezer.

Location

The apartment is in a quiet area west of Sanremo, just a 15-minute drive from the picturesque old town – La Pigna, with its charming cobbled streets and excellent family-run restaurants. Sanremo is known for the annual Sanremo Music Festival, which is held in late February or early March. There is also the Sanremo Car Rally, the Rallye Sanremo, which takes place in October.

The old town’s covered market is a must (every day except Sunday). Here you can buy the best local olive oil, cheeses, wines, vegetables and fruit.

For something more active, the Ponente Ligure cycle path runs for 24km along the coast and makes a great day out for families.

The closest airport is at Nice (France), which is a 1-hour, 5-minute drive. Genoa airport is 1 hour and 45 minutes from the apartment.
