Stunning Coastal Cottage - Sleeping 5 in 2 Bedrooms - Pool and Beach Access Included.

Welcome to Waves @ The Bay - part of the Bay Filey Holiday Village, it is ideal for couples or a growing family with children.

This cottage has recently been purchased by the owners and has been lovingly decorated and refurbished prior to rental in October 2023.

Enter into the airy hallway with storage for all your essentials and access to the downstairs cloak / WC.

Walk through into the large open plan L shaped lounge with lovely 3 seater and 2 seater sofas, SMART TV, dining room (sits 5) and fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher, washer, new fridge freezer, air-fryer etc.

Upstairs the property comprises of 1 king bedroom and 1 second bedroom with single bed and a bunk bed (sleeping 3 in that room). There is a large family bathroom complete with bath and overhead rainfall shower.

Off the lounge area are full width bi-fold doors which open onto a private furnished patio with BBQ which is surrounded by large, shared garden and landscaped grounds including a large Boules Court.

Travel Cot and High Chair are available for use free of charge (own bedding required).

We leave a few games for our guests to use. This warm and cosy house is ideal for breaks all year round.

Some amenities are chargeable locally like food and drink, tennis and any activities operated by Away Resorts such as Archery and Crafts.

Wonderful stay

Immaculately kept property. 5 minute walk to all the amenities, with its own parking space outside the front door. Great to have a dog friendly pub on site too. Highly recommend.

We chose the property as it was dog friendly. The property was clean and comfortable . We had a bit of a problem with the bath/shower as there was no non-slip mat. Comfy bed which is always a good nights sleep. We had a bit of a problem with the Wi-Fi with a man on the phone being derogatory A nice woman came to help and sorted it out.

The Wifi issue was user error and due to you not putting the password in correctly. Lovely break

We had a lovely time at Waves @ The Bay, well equipped everything we needed for our stay. Facilities at the bay are great, access to the beach. Only issue upstairs could get very warm, no key for the window in the room that the boiler cupboard was in even with the radiator turned off it was far too warm in that room

Relaxing stay. the addiction of a kitchen blind and a couple of clock’s would be beneficial. We found everything very comfortable although at times looking out at a particular white van from the patio doors was a bit of putting.

The property was ok , the area is a short drive from filey. The walk to the beach is not so easily accessible for everyone as it down a steep hill. The onsite facilities are expensive even for a captive demograph.

Thank you for your review. Sadly we cannot be held responsible for 1000s of years of geological formations. Wherever you stay on the coast you have to get down to the beach. We provide you with 4 routes to the beach - you chose the steepest. The onsite facilities are operated by another company and again we provided you with loads of details to go to other venues which you clearly chose not to? We hope you had a good holiday in our lovely cottage and would appreciate you reviewing this not the local cliff which after millions of years of evolution we can do little about.

Brilliant accommodation in a great setting

We stayed at 'the waves' in The Bay Filey for the New Year period and the whole experience from start to finish was excellent. The communication received from Anthony and team was superb from booking (simple, easy to navigate website and user experience) right through to day of departure, keeping us informed and updated of any impacts or challenges that the site was experiencing (due to inclement weather). The accommodation was just as described; it was clean and very well equipped - a real home from home. Added bonus was the ninja airfryer, full size fridge/freezer and highspeed broadband (a massive hit with the 2 kids!). The bedrooms were spacious with ample storage and very comfy beds. Location of the Waves was perfect for us (2 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs) and we would not hesitate to return.

The Waves

Overall excellent but needed instruction books for the washing machine and the coffee machine. As models vary significantly we wasted time on how to make these work
