Our beautiful four-bedroom farmhouse outside St Severin is a relaxing place for family holidays or get-togethers with friends. Set in the gorgeous French countryside, it is an ideal jumping off point for exploring the market towns of northern Dordogne, the wineries of Bordeaux region, and some of the most beautiful villages in France.
Down a private driveway, the house features a private 10x5m pool, two-car undercover carport, large undercover outdoor entertaining area and 3,000 sq m level, grassed private garden. It is one km from two villages with boulangeries, has lovely views from every room and amazing sunsets.
The house is half a large old stone barn surrounded by a working farm. It has a separate entrance and privacy from a single neighbour.

Perfect summer vacation with friends

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property. The house is beautiful and well-appointed, and we had many lovely afternoons by the pool and dining on the terrace. Within a short drive are lots of gorgeous towns, lovely restaurants and other sights to see. Perfect for families or in our case a group of friends. Can’t wait to be back again next year!

What an incredible place! The perfect holiday Gite and location.

This holiday rental is incredible! From the moment you turn off the road drive through the sunflower fields to the property you feel relaxed. The views are stunning! This is our second year staying in this area and this gite is beautiful. The attention to detail by Anna is wonderful and the furnishings are such great quality. The bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever stayed in which made for a truly restful holiday. Thank you Anna and your family we hope to stay again soon and will recommend your gite to all our friends and family.

Wonderful stay

Our family of 4 stayed here for 10 days in August. Before we even arrived the communication with the owner Anna was great, she replied to our questions really quickly with some lovely recommendations. The house was beautiful, really well cared for, clean and very well stocked. Plenty of space to be inside or out, in the sun or shade. The pool was the highlight of our stay, it was larger than we thought, we loved it. During our stay the local property manager Malcolm popped by the check everything was ok and gave us some great restaurant recommendations. The local area is beautiful, the village of Saint Severin (5 mins away) had a great boulangerie and small supermarket, and Riberac was well worth a visit. We really enjoyed our trip and would definitely recommend both the house and the area.

Family holiday

We had a lovely relaxing family holiday here with our teenage sons. The house is very well equipped, spacious, clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our time here. The pool was great and the sunsets and views were amazing. A good location for supermarkets in Riberac, a local bakery and a Spar just a short drive away in Saint Severin itself. We had enjoyable visits to Auberterre sur Dronne, Brantome and Bourdeilles plus we spent a lot of time just relaxing at the house and at a nearby lake especially on the hot days. The boys loved the pool! We would definitely love to stay here again and explore more of this region. Thank you Anna and family, we had a great holiday. Thank you also to Malcolm who looks after the property who was very friendly and welcoming.

Why they chose this property

My partner and I have a long association with France but fell in love with this area in 2022. We love the south west for its climate, wine and food, great local community events and amazing sunsets. There are beautiful villages around us to explore but it is not too touristy.

What makes this property unique

This house is close to local villages and all the amenities you need but also surrounded by fields, often planted with sunflowers. The house has a perfect southerly aspect and there's nothing nicer than lying by the pool and looking out across the rolling hills. We also have high speed satellite internet for those who want or need to work remotely.
