Lovely spacious holiday cottage sleeping 6 with large pool & grounds enjoying panoramic views, on the Piotou Charente - Dordogne border in rural France, near the golf, tennis and wedding venues at Manoir de Longeveau & Manoir de Beaulieu in Salles Lavalette.
The village of Aubeterre -sur- Dronne with its wide choice of cafes, restaurants and shady river beach with canoes and paddleboards is short distance away.
Our sympathetically converted farmhouse
is close to a large supermarket, bakery, chemist and nice restaurant open lunchtimes and evenings.
An arbour adventure park with treetop zip wires, kayaking, large trampoline and archery is a short drive away. Cycling routes both for road and off road with bike hire delivered to your door.
There are extensive grounds and a good sized shared swimming pool over 13m long (you will find you often have this to yourselves, it is shared with our retired neighbours but rarely used during the school holidays) located in an elevated spot in the grounds looking across a picturesque valley.
Our spacious 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home is equipped to a high standard and furnished to complement the wealth of character features. All the bathrooms and kitchen have been recently upgraded. Off the entrance hall is a cloakroom plus stairs to 3 bedrooms.The master bedroom has a king sized bed, en suite bathroom with bath/shower
There is a large family room with double bed, plus a single plus a twin room sharinh the use of a further bathroom with bath/shower. Downstairs is a cool bedroom which has a double bed and en-suite with bath/ shower.
There is WiFi ,TV/DVD with UK Satellite channels.
The well equipped kitchen (ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave) dining area opens onto the south facing private terrace with uninterrupted views. Having al fresco dining furniture, sun beds, reclining chairs and BBQ .
