Over 2,000 sqft in private neighborhood on slightly less than 1 acre. It’s a fantastic location that's just north east of Eaton Ferry Bridge on the main large lake, one mile from the only grocery store and strip mall including Lake Gaston Pizza and easy access to restaurants and ice cream. Only 1 mile from Eaton Ferry marina. Extra-large and tall Master with Queen bed and sitting area and great lake view and porch access. Wall-mounted TV. Master bath with garden tub. Bedroom 2 with Queen bed and private bathroom. Bedroom 3 with 1 Double bed and a day bed with pull out trundle and 3rd bathroom right next to the room. Large kitchen with new stainless steel appliances and granite countertops opens to spacious main family room with vaulted ceiling and lots of windows allowing incredible natural light stretching all along the back walls giving gorgeous views of the water! Everything was just perfect. Only downside had nothing to do with home, we wanted to go out for breakfast on our last day and there are no restaurants that seeve breakfast that we could find. Stunning view as always. Very relaxing time. Thank you so much. We will be back.

The Yes Dear rental property is located in a very private and relaxing setting. The home was very spacious and tastefully decorated. The lake view was spectacular!! My husband and I enjoyed fishing early morning and late evenings. Owner stayed in communication and made the rental process very easy. Highly recommend!!

Everything about Jo’s beautiful lake home was OUTSTANDING!!! From the lake views to the amenities, it was SO hard to leave!! Jo was a wonderful host! Yes Dear Is a great place to stay while visiting Lake Gaston! The view of the lake is awesome!

The house is much bigger in person than what the picture showed. We loved the back porch, dock area, swings, hammock , fire pit, huge kitchen and master bedroom! We were able to rent a boat and keep it docked at the house. The kids loved jumping off the upper deck on the dock. Jo was great to work with and responded to our emails immediately. We had a power outage in the area and she was on the phone with the power company in less than 5 minutes To get it resolved. We would definitely stay there again!

Amazing home and property!

We are family of 6 adults, (3 couples) we chose this property because it has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths and the location on the lake. We have come one week each year for the past 13 years, this is by far, THE nicest home we have ever rented. Owner Joanna was great, very quick to respond and very nice! We plan to come back to “YES DEAR” next year same week if available! Pictures do not do this home justice, it has everything you could want snd more! All quality amenities, very well stocked, modern kitchen, great porch with view of main lake, super close to grocery store, abc, shopping, very good pizza and Wakeboard willies ice cream!

Lake Life Lovers

I just first want to say that Jo was amazing to work with, she answered any question I had and encouraged more questions! We were always beach vacationers and this year we wanted to do something different. It was the best decision we made. Jo had welcomed us w/a sign and a gift bag that was "sweet". It was me, my 3 adult children, my son-in-law and my 14 y.o. We ALL LOVED IT! So much to do! The house was immaculate, plenty of room, well stocked kitchen, location was perfect! Our favorite place was the back porch and the deck, where we spent everyday swimming, fishing, floating, napping, reading, sun bathing and watching the beautiful sunsets. We rented a boat for a day nearby. Ate in all but one night, went to a local restaurant which was very close. Fire pit and yard games, we did it all. My kids said it was the best vacation they ever had as well as the most relaxing. Jo & Sean went above and beyond :) Thank you Jo & Sean for making this vacation possible. We are ALL hoping to be back real soon.

Please don't read this and steal our rental dates for next year 😄

We've rented this place several times and have never left unimpressed. It feels like the owner has worked hard to anticipate guest needs and gone above and beyond. Plenty of parking, close to shopping and restaurants, well equipped house, gorgeous boat dock with great views and amazing water access, plenty of water toys like kayaks and paddle board, great kitchen and grill and plenty of outdoor deck seating. Even the small amenities like cooking spices and tiny toiletries are here. If you have a bad time at this rental you probably had bad weather or a bad attitude. I've rented a plethora of VRBO offerings and this one I've repeatedly come back to with anticipation. Book it!

Highly recommend “Yes Dear”!

We really enjoyed our one week stay at “Yes Dear”! The house was perfect for our family. It was clean and organized and it had everything you needed to enjoy your vacation on the lake. The dock area was great for swimming, relaxing and watching the sunset. And Jo was great to deal with throughout the whole process. We can’t say enough great things about this rental property! We will definitely be back!

Lovely property

The property was lovely and the house was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay - even with lots of rain. And the host was very nice - texted to check on us , but was not intrusive! Our only “complaint” was that the pots and pans were not flat which is important on a smooth surface cooktop. Also should note, that although there is a turn around at the house, it is very tight and not doable with large vehicle and large trailer. We backed down the driveway to park our truck with trailer. These were minor inconveniences and we would certainly rent again!

Yes Dear exceeded the description. Very well maintained property which was thoughtfully presented. The dock was perfect for fishing and lounging. The views of lake were tremendous from multiple rooms. Would highly recommend this property if you want a relaxing and worry - free getaway!

Little slice of heaven

Great way to end 2021, with peace and quiet—serenity! Temp was 70 almost every day this last week of Dec. Every morning we chased the sunrise and in the evening found numerous places to take in the breathtaking sunsets. Boat deck was our favorite place to catch both the rise and set but the sunsets are visible from every inch of the home. The owners were so amazing and we are grateful they share their home. — The Teel Family

Everything about our stay was perfect. it exceeded my expectations from the moment we walked in! The views of the lake were so beautiful and nightly sunsets really put on a show. Relaxing week!

You can’t find a better location on Lake Gaston! Very spacious and plenty of seating options! Beds were comfortable too! The boat dock was well appointed with water toys and seating options as well. The only reason I gave cleanliness 4 stars vs 5 is because the tops of the washer and dryer were dirty. The lint filter hadn’t been cleaned for several dryings from the looks of it. I mentioned it to the owner and I am sure this won’t be an issue for future rentals. Communication with her was very courteous, prompt and questions answered! She even kept us updated on a power outage due to a storm that moved through. Highly recommend for a low key lake vacation. Fishing right off the dock and nearby marina where you can rent watercraft.

Beautiful home in great location!

We had such a great stay at this home. The location was really close to local stores and restaurants. The home itself is absolutely beautiful. It is so much more beautiful than the pictures show. The view of the lake from the main living area is magnificent. You can sit outside on the deck and sit in the rocking chairs and enjoy the view. The house was super clean, extremely well maintained and the kitchen was very well stocked. The dock was stocked with every float you could imagine as well as paddle boards, kayaks and fishing rods. Our kids had a blast Jo was so great to work with. She was always available to answer questions. I would highly recommend this property. We will definitely stay here again!

Everything a family could want!

My family of five spent the week of July 4th at this treasure on the lake. The house was spaciously laid out with lots of comfortable seating in the living areas and dining area. I had absolutely everything I needed to prepare meals, and comfortably move around to cook. The porches wrapping around the house, also had lots of seating from wood rockers to cushioned outdoor furniture. I spent lots of time reading on the porch. There were plenty of games, movies, and books for entertainment too. We also were pleasantly surprised to find the beds super comfortable! A rare treat when renting a house for a week. The dock is amazing, it had every kind of float imaginable to play in the water. There is a ladder to climb out of the water as well as a step in the shallow end. My kids loved jumping from the second level into the deep water below! The dock had seating on each level. Shade umbrellas or covered, or lots of sunshine... something for everyone to enjoy. They even had some poles and nets for fishing. The neighbors were all very friendly, and helpful with the area. For example, they told us about the best place to take our little ones to water ski where the wake was minimal and quiet boat traffic. They also invited us to sit on their dock for fireworks, as they had better view on their side. Lake Gaston is a quiet area to begin with, so keep in mind that this will be about relaxing and enjoying the lake life... all that being said the house is located in the best possible location. It is very close to the grocery store, a restaurant or two, a few takeout locations, an Ace Hardware (all the fishing and boating stuff you could need) and marinas are all within a 10 minute drive or less. I will say preparing to bring what you need if you are particular on wine, beer or groceries is probably a good idea, the Food Lion is small and seems to have trouble keeping everything in stock, especially when the lake is busy. Check in and check out was very easy, and communication throughout the week was very timely and wonderfully helpful. I definitely felt our hostess Jo wanted us to be very at home, comfortable and enjoy our trip to the fullest! We can not wait to return some time in the future, we have already shared the house link with a few friends.

Cannot echo the other reviews any more strongly - this is a big little house that comfortably held our family of four, plus one teenage friend, and grandma at various points throughout the week. Great dock and second deck for jumping , lots of floaty stuff to chill in, solid deck chairs and loungers, and great view of the lake. Strong kitchen and bbq for cooking big meals, more games than you can play, and porch sitting for days. We will be back.

Wonderful Lakehouse!

This lake house was better than advertised and very clean. Location was great, beautiful views, awesome dock, kayaks, fire pit, etc. Marina is right down the street so we rented a boat midweek and we were the only ones on the lake! I'm sure this changes in the summer, but we had a great time on our April family vacation. Owner was easy to communicate with and it shows that they take pride in their house. This was our first visit to Lake Gaston and we would definitely make the trip and stay there again sometime!!

Wonderful week

We had an amazing week at this lovely lake house. The house itself was immaculately clean and spacious. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. There are an abundance of boardgames and a couple of TVs with a large collection of DVDs. The view of the lake from the living room and master is beautiful. The outside is also amazing with a large raised deck that wraps around, a fire pit area on the lawn where we enjoyed S’mores, a hammock, and an awesome dock. We enjoyed taking the kayaks out on the lake. The owner was an absolute pleasure to work with; very communicative and responsive to any questions we had. This will be our go-to place when ever we want a get away to Lake Gaston.

My husband and I live in Richmond, VA with our two teenage sons and we've been enjoying vacationing at Lake Gaston for years! We love the water and hanging with good friends enjoying the simple life whenever we can.

Why they chose this property

We've been searching for the right house for several years and as soon as we walked into this one, we just knew...I told my husband I had to have it and the response was...yep..."Yes Dear" ! We wanted a property on the Main lake with large water views and access...and we didn't want a huge home but enough to be comfortable and roomy for a 8 to 10 people easy. I love the single level open floor plan format and tall vaulted ceilings - so so bright and airy! AND we didn't want a ton of steep stairs to the water and the walkout from the house is quick and painless :o). The neighborhood is quiet and private, which was another had to have too...we didn't want to be right on top of others! It's such a convenient location...just less than a mile to the Food Lion, Pizza, shops, ACE, ABC and gas station...and the main restaurants are right down the street...you can't beat it!
