About this property

Beautiful 180° views on deep water

This newly renovated and newly decorated house has 3 bedrooms that have their own bathrooms and patio overlooking the water. Everyone has a mini-suite of their own! The kitchen is supplied with all the basic essentials and includes a brand new electric convection oven and refrigerator. Beach towels, bathrooms towels, and bedding is provided. Relax on the screened-in porch and enjoy views of the lake with a cup of coffee (or other preferred beverage). The table on the screened-in porch is perfect for conversation among family and friends, dining, and board/card games. The downstairs patio also has a table with seating for 4 and a swing bench - perfect for relaxing and taking in the scenery or engrossing yourself in a book.

The main level at the house has 2 bedrooms (1 king and 1 queen) with blackout curtains and the downstairs has 1 bedroom (2 bunk beds - full on bottom and twin on top). The basement living room also has a daybed with a trundle bed which can sleep 2 more. The basement living room has a full size table that seats 6, a 48" flat screen tv with an XBOX ONE, and a dartboard (great for rainy days). The property has high speed internet (50MB download and 5MB upload), a Weber gas grill, and a fire pit with seating. No cable subscription is available, but feel free to bring your wifi-enabled devices to watch content via the wi-fi or also on the XBOX ONE. The XBOX ONE has many apps to watch your favorite network cable shows as well as Netflix and many other streaming services. All NFL games are available on the XBOX ONE during football season through the NFL, FOX Sports, CBS, NBC, or ESPN apps. The property also has board games, playing cards, and poker chips as additional entertainment options.

Enjoy the fantastic sunrise and sunset from the upper level of the dock! 180 degree views of the lake from the dock. Water depth at the dock is 30+ feet deep - great for swimming and floating! Excellent fishing without leaving the property. Our boat is in the dock slip (not available for use), but feel free to bring any vessels of your own as the dock is set up for additional boats to be tied up to.

Historic downtown Hartwell is less than 20 minutes away. Several restaurants and marinas are available within 20 minutes by water or car. The Mary Ann Branch public boat ramp is less than 10 minutes away. Clemson is 45 minutes away by water or car.

There is a 'no pet' policy for this property. The washer/dryer units in the storage room are available for use.

For those interested in staying at the lakehouse and attending a Clemson game, the campus is 40 miles away by car.

My family enjoyed this lake house for the 2nd time! It is in the perfect location and the dock and deep water are excellent! We couldn’t ask for more! The house is very comfortable and feels like “home”-(the master bed was exceptionally comfortable)! The house had everything we needed from kitchen gadgets to plentiful family games! We love that each bedroom has a bathroom. The screened-in porch overlooking the lake and the firepit are such a bonus! We can't say enough positives and we are planning on renting again.

Need some update for the bathroom. Since the weather was not good to have meal in the screen room, we had to bring all the food downstairs, no Tv in the livingroom either. Overall the environment is nice and view is great.

Property was as advertised. It was clean and comfortable. Great views of the lake. The double decker dock was a hot as well. The teens jumped in the lake on the lower level, but grownups could observe and stay dry, from above. The fire pit area was also nicely equipped - including firewood. The owners were very responsive to the basic inquiries I had.I hope we get an opportunity to stay here again.

Quiet and Secluded Dream Lakehouse

We absolutely loved this lakehouse!!! We love Lake Hartwell and this is the perfect house for this lake! We loved fishing and swimming. The sunrises and sunsets are beautiful from this house! We cannot wait to come back to this house! ❤️

This house was pretty much as advertised. Nice views, nice dock, nice lake location, clean, etc. was all as stated in the listing and other recent reviews. Our family feels the 50 steep steps to get to and from the water should be pointed out. I would suggest checking on that factor for any house. I know we will from now on. It plays a role in your decision for your activities for the day and could be a deal breaker for people of a certain age or with any type of physical impairment. We also would have liked a TV upstairs. Other than that, we thought it was great. We really did enjoy our time on the screened-in patio.

Lovely house on a great spot!

We celebrated my son's 17th birthday by taking him and 5 of his friends to the lake, and this house was perfect. Adults (my wife and I) had the upstairs with a great view of the lake from the screened-in porch, and the boys had the downstairs with the TV, dart board, and bunk beds. The double decker dock was a huge hit as well. I highly recommend this great lake house.

Family Get-A-Way

My husband and three teens asked for a relaxing vacation, and this was PERFECT! Everyone had personal space AND could come together as a family. The extra boat slip was great for our boat rental. It was very nice to use the provided life vests and float. The top deck was excellent for watching the sun rise/set. Great communication from owners. We loved our time here.

The home was exactly what we needed for the weekend. It had all of the necessities and then extra. The stairs out back were a much needed exercise, but be mindful of that if you have any type of handicap. I did unfortunately injure my foot while staying here (no fault of the home) and I wasn’t able to check behind people upon check-out like I normally would due to being unable to walk down the stairs. I’m guessing someone overlooked something being cleaned and we got 50 knocked off of the deposit for extra cleaning so just be mindful of that as well. You pay a cleaning fee, but more may be taken out. Overall I would definitely rent here again if they’d be willing to have us.

2023 vacation

This was our annual family lake vacation. We booked a little early this year so we could celebrate my husbands 50th birthday, and unfortunately we had a cold front move in for a couple of the days, but we still had fun. We enjoyed a trip to a local safari and spent some time shopping in town. The house was perfect for us. Loved that they had fans for all the rooms because we forgot ours and we can’t sleep without them. We also loved the dart board set up downstairs, that was something new for us. We love lake Hartwell and look forward to coming back.

Best Family Vacation EVER!!!

The property has absolutely everything for a fantastic vacation!!! Everyone had their own space, the dock was perfect for sun tanning up top & the bottom had plenty of space for our boats, kayak, paddleboard, & floats. You can watch the sunrise AND the sunset from here, and I loved the swing, the firepit, and especially the screened-in porch. The X-box was an added bonus and not once was anyone bored as there is so much to do with all the games, puzzles, books, darts, etc. We also loved downtown Hartwell, and being less than 20 minutes away from Walmart, Goodwill, tons of thrift stores & an AWESOME Crossfit gym (shout out to Contemporary Athletics!) was the icing on the cake ❤️ We are already looking forward to coming back next year!!!

Beautiful expansive view

The best thing about this property is the view. From the screened in porch, you can see a 180 degree view of a wide part of the lake. The worst thing about the property is that there is no kitchen table at all. When you want to sit down to eat as a group, you have to go to the table on the screened in porch. Sometimes the weather doesn't permit you to go out there, like when it's 95 degrees.

Best Lake House.

It was amazing being at the lake. The owners told us about one of the marinas near the lake house and we ended up staying a extra day and renting a boat and stayed on the lake all day! They were very helpful especially letting us add another day to our visit. My family of 6 were comfortable and had everything we needed. There was a armadillo that scared us the 1st night there lol. It made so much noise we thought it had to be a big animal but it wasn't. Geat property, beautiful views, and helpful owners made it a great weekend getaway!
