Lovely property in the rolling hills of Imperia, Italy. The host was very generous in allowing us to keep the pool open through our first week of October stay, even though they usually close it at the end of September. My only concern is the communication was sadly lacking. The number given to communicate directly with the host went mostly unanswered, and when he did answer, he did not speak English… I understand that the whole world is not required to cater to the English speaking traveler, but if you are going to host international travelers, there needs to be a direct contact that speaks your language. Most of these problems could have been avoided if there had been a property manual available in English [what the wifi password is, what to do with the trash, what do they recycle, does it need to be separated…]We were not “needy” guests, but when you are on vacation with limited time, and you are sitting at the closed gate unable to drive off the property for over an hour, missing your paid tour, all because of a communication gap, it is frustrating. If the host is able to correct the communication gap, this property would be the ideal spot for a week in Imperia.
