We accept Couples, Families and Seniors.
Cosy Cottage Villa with all modern facilities. New Private Heated Pool. Garden. Quiet location. Close to Levada walk "Nova Levada Calheta".
Offering one double and one twin bedroom, each with custom made beds by local craftsmen. The Master bedroom has an ensuite bedroom. There is a second shared bathroom on the Ground floor.
A large Balcony offers a panoramic Ocean view.
Open plan Kitchen, Diner and Lounge with all contemporary facilities. 43" TV & DVD player.
Outside the Pool Terrace offers choice of shade or sun. A raised Patio area provides a Pergoda and BBQ with magnificent Ocean views.
There is also a walled garden, safe for children. To the rear of the property is a Parking area for one car behind a secure electric gate.
A car is essential anywhere in Madeira. But the Cottage is conveniently situated:
6 minutes by car to local restaurants in Ponta do Pargo, or less than 10 minutes to the Beach and Restaurants at Paul do Mar. Less than 15 minutes to Calheta Marina and Restaurants.

Check Out time is 10am please. There are Guests coming in after you. The Pool man may arrive at 9am. Thank you for your custom.
Unused Food & Drink can be left for the Housekeepers to deal with.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
We accept Couples, Families and Seniors only. No same sex groups or Parties. Guests must supply ID by email, to comply with EU border regulations
Quiet Hours are between 11pm and 8am
Starter supplies of Hand Soap and Toilet paper, Salt n Pepper, Charcoal are provided. Not Shampoo, Cooking Oil.

Great location

Great cottage in peaceful surroundings. Amazing views of the sunset. Very good communication with the owner and housekeeper. You must have car to get around.

Beautiful view

Villa as described, beautiful view and great pool. However, the beds were quite hard and not the most comfortable for sleeping. Also, the location is quite far, so having a car is essential to get around.

Hi Hannan Thank you for your review. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Our beds are Medium to Firm, with a layer of memory foam on top. In this respect they are suited to most Guests. Indeed, in 10 years of operation in Madeira, I have never once received a complaint about them. Our village is located within the municipality of Calheta, which is a collection of villages in the West end of the Island. It is quite far from the Airport, approx one hour drive. But on arrival the Villa is close to many of the activities in which Guests would wish to participate. Calheta is the primary area for quality Visitor accommodation. The Villa itself is within 7 - 8 minutes of the closest beach and 6 minutes on the nearest quality restaurant. We stress in our marketing, that a Car is essential for "any" stay on Madeira. Unless one stays in the Hotel sector in Funchal. The topography of the Island is very steep, which gives the most breath taking views. But this does prohibit walking to the nearest Restaurant from the majority of Villas. I am sorry that your flight was delayed by one day, but I thank you for your feedback and your custom. regards Bill

Perfect residence

Sublime stay at the Blue Ocean Cottage. Recommend the Italian restaurant at Calheta as well at the Magnolia restaurant with life music. We payed a visit to a distillery recommended by the bartender from Magnolia restaurant. Great tour at the factory, led by the charming Mario. Of course we bought the good stuff…

The villa is absolutely beautiful and so is the setting. This villa is for you if you want to be in a quiet, more remote setting - a car is a must- but it is only around a 15 minute scenic drive to Calheta where there are shops fantastic restaurants and a beach (with boat tours and water sports). I would recommend a car anyway for a trip to Madeira as it is such a beautiful island and there are so many places to explore within short car journey.I found the owners to be very thoughtful e.g providing wine, milk, charcoal for us so we had enough basics already there when we arrived. They also provided helpful information about places to visit and local supermarkets etc. I also found them to be very friendly and quick to reply in all my communication with them prior and during the holiday. I highly recommend staying in this villa!
