Chapel Flat is a three-bedroom apartment accommodating up to six guests, sits within a private wing of the Hall, and exudes all of the drama and opulence you’d expect from a grand country house, whilst still remaining inviting and relaxed. With an exciting, large-scale nature recovery programme and over 3,000 acres of woodland, moors and wildflower meadows, Broughton Sanctuary is the perfect natural playground to discover whilst you’re here. As part of your stay, you’ll have free, exclusive access to England’s largest rewilding estate. So, you can spend time together in nature, wandering ancient woodlands, cycling moorland trails, or enjoying picnics by the riverside. It’s a country getaway like no other. Accessed via a sweeping stone staircase and grand arched corridor, the apartment exudes drama from the moment you step inside. It retains countless original features, from the chandeliers hanging from the high ceilings to the hand-carved, marble fireplaces that dress the walls. The comfortable, 18th-century living room is adorned with historic paintings and offers spectacular views over the estate’s rolling, wooded parkland. It has a working open fireplace too. Originally a bedroom, the brand-new kitchen/dining room features vivid oak cabinets, granite worktops, and all mod-cons. There’s everything you need for a country getaway. Each of the bedrooms has a stunning four-poster bed and all of them are en-suite, two with beautiful freestanding baths and one with a convenient walk-in shower.



For a relaxing day out venture further into the Yorkshire Dales to the picturesque villages of Grassington, 12 miles, and Kettlewell, 5 miles further, calling at Kilnsey Trout Farm on the way and a stop off to watch the climbers hang off Kilnsey Crag. Many walks and cycle routes for all abilities can be found here and all around the area. Country pubs serving local produce are within easy reach should you wish to dine out during your stay, with the closest just 500 yards away and easily reached via a stroll through the estate grounds.
