When it comes to quintessential Cotswold stays, it doesn’t get closer than The Barn. The perfect couples getaway - if you like going on adventures together, this is the place. Walking routes, waterways and open landscape sit right outside the door, with a cosy base to come back to. And when you’re all adventured out, there’s a south-facing spot to sit, a croquet lawn nearby, and the pub just down the road. It’s dog friendly too.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲:
The Barn sleeps up to two guests across one bedroom, featuring a king-size bed and a private bathroom. The open-plan living and kitchen area includes a fully equipped kitchen with appliances and cookware, a Smart TV and fast and reliable WIFI. Central heating keeps the space comfortable year-round, and Wildsmith Skin toiletries, along with bed linen and towels, are included for every guest.
Outside, you’ll have access to a south-facing private outdoor seating area, along with use of the croquet lawn, with mallets provided, if you feel like a little knock around before lunch.
𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀:
You’ll have full private use of The Barn throughout your stay, along with access to the outdoor seating area and croquet lawn. Parking is available on site, with one allocated space and additional room for visitors.
Check in from 3PM and check out by 10AM. You can arrive at your own pace with self check-in via key box, just give us a call if you have any issues.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱:
Set within the beautiful Cotswold Lakes, you’re surrounded by over 180 lakes, woodland trails and quiet village lanes. The landscape feels open, green and peaceful in every direction. It's the perfect space to be active and explore, ideal for cycling, paddle-boarding, or just walking and enjoying the abundant wildlife and fresh air.
Cerney Wick is a tiny hamlet surrounded by lakes, fields and walking paths. You’re on the Thames Path, with the River Churn close by, which makes this a brilliant base for gentle riverside walks and slower days outdoors, without needing to get in the car.
South Cerney is within easy reach and is one of the area’s most established villages. Think traditional stone cottages, small, friendly shops, lovely pubs and delightful cafés, plus plenty of options for eating and drinking across the wider lakes.
Cirencester is about 10-15 minutes by car and offers boutique shopping, restaurants, markets, and a rich sense of history. Kemble Station is also close, with direct trains into London, making this spot practical for quick weekend visits as well as longer stays.

𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲:
The house is dog-friendly. One well-behaved dog is welcome (£35 per dog). Decoration services can be arranged for special occasions.
Quiet hours run from 10.30PM to 8AM, and we ask guests to respect the peaceful setting: No parties, and no smoking indoors.
