Hillside 2 bedroom holiday bungalow, sleeps 6, south facing, 5 min walk to beach
Mundesley is a beautiful village on the North Norfolk Coast, about 7 miles east from Cromer. The bungalow is on the prestigious Hillside on the east-cliff, less than a 2 minute walk from the cliff edge, which has views of the sea and surrounding villages. The bungalow itself is south facing and has views of the countryside, Paston Mill, and fields with horses just a few yards away. Mundesley is a short drive from Cromer (7 miles) Sheringham (10 miles) Blakeney (15 miles) The Norfolk Broads (15 miles) Great Yarmouth (25 miles) Norwich (25 miles). It is a great place for both a relaxing family holiday, and for exploring the North Norfolk coast, which is famous for it's craftsmen and fine cuisine. Wroxham Barns and Alby Crafts are each about a fifteen minute drive. Or just relax on the veranda on a recliner, sheltered from the North sea breeze. How about a family day out at the Great Yarmouth pleasure beach or you could hire a day boat and take a trip on the Norfolk Broads? So many exciting things to do. Or you could just relax in the bungalow watching the sunrise and set.
The bungalow has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 6 people very comfortably, with a double futon sofa bed in the lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a gas hob and electric oven, 900w microwave, slimline dishwasher, large fridge and frost free freezer. The bathroom has a large walk in shower, basin and toilet. Both bedrooms have built in wardrobes with plenty of storage. Beds are made up, towels and shower mats are provided as well as kitchen linen. Tea and coffee are also provided. South facing the bungalow attracts the sun all day and the veranda is a suntrap and a shelter from the north sea breeze. It is not overlooked by any one else. The site is private and quiet and a 5 minute walk from the beach and 10 minutes to the village. North Norfolk is a beautiful area, a short drive from Cromer, Sheringham, The Norfolk Broads, Great Yarmouth and Norwich. Mundesley itself is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Our visitors often return year after year falling in love with this magical village by the sea as I did, many years ago . The local's are friendly and welcoming and happily organise Antique and Craft Fayres, Art Exhibitions, Bingo and cinema nights to name but a few things in the local village and church halls. They have a relaxed energy and enthusiasm for their wonderful village. Dogs are welcome in the bungalow and in the local pubs and on the beach. So many wonderful walks to discover while you stay.

We had a fantastic time exploring the village, shops, coastal walk, cafe and restaurant during our short stay. The bungalow was such a lovely, relaxing place to rest after walking around each day! Perfect and peaceful retreat that we hope to visit again soon.. Thank you 😊

Lovely view across fields, beach access good Property adequate for what we wanted but needs bit of refurbishment maybe Cost ok for property Really enjoyed our stay thank you
Great location, close to the beach, on the edge of the village so blissfully quiet in the evenings. The property has everything you need once you bring food and drink. Peter was very informative about the local area, shops links to pubs and restaurants.
We love the quiet off the beaten track location of Mundesley, the chalet has everything you need, just bring your food and drink and you're good to go.
Peter is always, friendly and attentive with the pre and post stay communication.

The property is very tired and needs a complete refurb but that would be bearable if it were clean. Upon arrival I had to clean the inside of the microwave (even though the bottom was rotting out) to be able to use it to prepare our meal as the inside of the oven looked and smelt like a grease pit. The shower had back mold and a filthy drian trap, no bath mat and no heater in the the bathroom. The tiled floor were covered in sand and a death trap in slippers, we had to wear out trainers for thewhole holiday

Disappointed
Could not go as my sister had emergency surgery for appendicitis. Disappointed that we lost our money but might be small discount if we rebook. Don't think so. Genuine reason too

Thank you for your review, Just to clarify, the cancellation was on the arrival day, so there was no time to rebook those dates. It was a 2 night visit, and everything was in place for your arrival. To be fair I would have given more than a slight discount for a rebook. If everyone cancelled on the arrival day, I'd make no money so I'm sure you will understand there has to be a policy in place. To say you are disappointed and give me 3 stars when you didn't stay, I think is a little mean. If you would like to rebook, then please get in touch and I'm sure we can work something out so that we are both happy. I'm sorry you didn't get to stay and enjoy Mundesley, the bungalow and the hillside, and I do hope that your sister is recovering well from her surgery
