About this property
Historic Renovated Cottage: Wild Atlantic Way
Step away from the hustle and bustle of life, and book a stay in our beautiful, newly renovated cottage with 46 acres of private land and a stony beach for you to enjoy, offering you complete seclusion, tranquillity and peace. The cottage is over 500 years old (formerly part of Kilelton House) and is steeped in history, just a 5 minute stroll from Carrigafoyle Castle. Located on the Wild Atlantic Way, it is a wonderful base to return to after a day out exploring all that Kerry has to offer.
The space
The house itself is unique in that you will find yourself on 46 acres of land, and the surrounding areas are steeped in history and beautiful natural surroundings. Expect to wake up to the birds chirping and a kitchen full of natural light.
When refurbishing the house, we wanted to keep the original charm while offering all the modern comforts. The property has its original steps leading to the front door and hallway, while to the right of the property you will still find some of the original structure of the manor, steeping the place in history. The kitchen is modern, fully equipped with an electric hob, oven and fridge freezer, with a large island worktop for food preparation and newly installed dishwasher.
There is a spacious sitting room/dining room with a wood-burning stove (logs available for guests) perfect to relax, read or watch a movie. We also picked out a selection of our favourite board games for guests to enjoy.
There is high speed broadband available - perfect for those who wish to work from home.
We pride ourselves in the details and the two bedrooms are always dressed in fresh, ironed linen.
There is one bathroom with an electric shower.
The house is ideal for history enthusiasts, those looking for a romantic getaway or simply to enjoy a Guinness in a traditional bar in the village.
It is also great for those who love swimming and walking. Ideally located to explore Ballybunnion, Listowel, Tralee, Killarney, Dingle or Co. Clare.
We want you to have the best stay possible, so please message if we can accommodate you in any way! :)
