4 Bedroom 2 Bath beach retreat, quiet beaches of Southern Shores. Pets invited.

Classic, updated beach house surrounded by live oaks. This 4 bedroom, 2 bath home is within walking distance to the beautiful beaches of Southern Shores on the Outer Banks. You'll have a well-equipped kitchen with a gas range for cooking and all modern stainless steel appliances and a large comfortable sofa in the great room with a flat screen TV, DVD player, cable, and board games. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, each with a queen bed and private deck, sharing a bathroom. The main floor has one bedroom with a king-size bed and one bedroom with two twin beds. All linens and towels are provided. There is also a ground floor laundry room with an extra fridge/freezer and multiple beach chairs and accessories. Rinse off in the outdoor shower after a day at the beach. The large, fenced-in backyard is very private and has plenty of space for your dogs and the wraparound deck is gated allowing pets and guests to roam. An ideal, quiet location to escape with shopping, restaurants, and entertainment conveniently located nearby. Active duty military, veterans, and first responders receive a discount.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please ensure any parking passes are removed from your vehicle and returned to the house
Trash pickup is Monday and Friday in the summer and Monday in the off-season. Please roll the trash can down to the curb prior to your departure. Also. recycling pick-up is Friday.
If you are a pet owner, please pick-up and dispose of any dog droppings in the back yard and also gather any pet toys/treats from under the furniture and beds. Please sweep or vacuum excess pet hair.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please keep dogs leashed at all times when outside the fenced in area and please scoop/pick up dog feces from backyard and dispose of.
Trash pick-up is Monday/Friday in summer and Monday year round. Recycling is Friday. Place bins on curb night before.
Any vehicles parked on the street must have tires off the pavement as per Southern Shores town ordinance.

We loved the house. The fenced in pet area was great. Much appreciated that we could bring three dogs. The kitchen was well equiped. We had no problems at all. Our stay was wonderful!

Perfect location for family vacation.

This was the perfect destination for our family get together. The fenced in dog yard made bringing the pets with us worry free. The house was very cozy and welcoming with plenty of room for everyone. Beach equipment available was added bonus. Well stocked kitchen made meal prep a breeze. Wish I knew about all of the beach towels and beach toys as I probably would not have brought so much myself. Quiet neighborhood and short walk to ocean was great. Would have used bikes but one tire was flat, no big deal though. Would definitely recommend. A lot to do in the area.

Perfect Location

This is our second summer at this property in Southern Shores and we plan to stay again next year. The bed rooms have plenty of space and the kitchen is well stocked. We didn’t bring our dogs this year but the property is perfect if you want to bring them. Our favorite aspect is the location. It’s a short walk to the beach and a short drive to grocery stores. It’s between Duck and Kitty Hawk so it’s a short drive to both. The stairs leading to the upper bedrooms are a little steep, and you have to take laundry outside and down the stairs, but those aren’t issues for us. We enjoy this property and will definitely stay again.

Huge Fenced-in Yard Southern Shores!

This house had exactly what we were looking for: fully fenced-in huge yard for our two dogs, very easy walk to the beach, many beach toys including bikes and kayaks, outdoor shower and foot wash, fully stocked kitchen...it was perfect!

Love this property!!

We've stayed here a couple of times - it's definitely our go-to spot when staying in OBX. You'll enjoy a FULLY appointed kitchen; CLOSE and EASY walk to the beach; QUIET neighborhood for walking and biking; wonderful LARGE backyard for your dog(s); and excellent COMMUNICATION with both owners. It's just what we're looking for in a get-away stay. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

We just returned home from a 1 week stay at this great VRBO. The property is exactly as described and perfect for a family with children. Excellent Stay

The house was very clean upon arrival. Incredibly well-stocked kitchen, plenty of games and books, extra blankets/towels/pillows, beach gear galore - overall an awesome space for a family. The beach was just a short walk away and the two wagons for transporting all of the “stuff” were so convenient. Definitely would consider booking this place again!

Great stay

Everything is just as it looks - great beach house. We liked the location - very quiet, an easy walk to the beach, easy drive to many things. Some folks may find it a little bit cozy for 7-8 people for a week, but it's a beach house and our group was pretty content. Kitchen is solidly equipped. The provided beach chairs, umbrellas, etc., were a nice plus.

Very comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood. Very convenient location to the beach. Everything we needed was there. Abundant beach chairs and umbrellas. Well appointed kitchen with ample cookware, dishes, utensils, etc. Would definitely recommend.

good location & truly pet friendly

My husband and two dogs had a pleasant stay here. The location is removed enough from the bustle of 158 but close enough to be convenient. Beach access is easy via the neighborhood path. There's a bit more privacy and quiet than most beach houses. We appreciated the enclosed deck and backyard for the dogs. Communication with the owners was clear and easy.

We had a wonderful time at this house! Everything that one could possibly need was provided. We were surprised at the extent of the beach items available to use. The house was very clean and comfortable for our group of 7. Very short walk to the beach and very centrally located to the sites. We took a trip to Roanoke one day and Corolla another. Would definitely stay again!

Very Dog Friendly and Quiet

We were a party of four and brought our beautiful German Shepherd Athena. The home and neighborhood are very dog friendly and quiet. We brought our own things to use but the home was very stocked with essentials and very clean. The deck was a nice size, and the gates were nice if we wanted Athena to not follow us. Very nice place and would definitely book again.

Everything we could ask for & more

We enjoyed our stay with an easy walk to the beach & all the comforts of home. The yard is very nice and secure for the dogs. The property itself is clean and comfortable. Wow – the best equipped kitchen of any property I have stayed in recently. Good WiFi & TV with Netflix. Lots of games & books to keep you busy. Sitting on the covered deck in the morning with my coffee, dogs, peace and quiet was a pleasure.

Worth the stay and awesome owner communication

Overall satisfied with the stay. Location was nice and quiet. Parking passes made beach days much more pleasurable. Spacious house with nice open den/kitchen/dining area for everyone to hang out. Only downside I could find was the outside lot could use some cleaning up. Fire pit was a no go for all the debris around. Backyard was very spacious but again could use some cleaning up to make it more useable.

Respite in OBX

Stayed at this property for a week with my senior mom. It was everything I hoped for! Arrived to a spotless home. Spacious and comfortable with a well-appointed kitchen. Loved cooking dinner each evening and spending time in the living room just 'hanging out' with mom.The outdoor area is ideal for dog owners! I never had to fear my two hyper pups would get loose with the enclosed back yard and the gate setup.Dual heating zones kept the home toasty warm for my mom, water for showers was quite hot which was wonderful.Owners were responsive to any questions I had and the whole process of checking in and out was painless.Very grateful to have found this gem in the Southern Shores.

This property was perfect for our family of three (15 month old in tow) and our two dogs! It was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need, from kitchenware to beach gear, and then some. The location is great -- it's very close driving distance to several grocery stores and Walgreens, urgent care (just in case!), restaurants, and attractions and an easy walk to the beach. The neighborhood was great and safe, and we would definitely come back here even with another family or two (we only utilized the main floor on this trip but upstairs has two good sized rooms and a full bathroom as well). Would definitely stay again! Thanks, Sarah and Drew!
