There are several small lakes nearby. Delicious restaurants. Shopping in Lucca, day trip to the Cinque Terre or Florence. A day at the coast in Forte dei Marmi or Pietrasante. a nice base to visit the sights in Tuscany or just quietly enjoy the house by the pool.
