Wonderful home, view, location

Six women all celebrating our 60th birthday year convened at this gorgeous home for a week of pure relaxation. The beds were comfy, the kitchen well appointed, and the LR and DR perfect sizes. We loved the balcony overlooking the water, the Adirondack chairs closer to the water, and the expansive lawn. Some of our party kayaked. We loved the location and enjoyed our day excursions. Top notch property.

Perfect summer vacation getaway

This is a perfect place for family getaway in summer. We enjoyed the kayaking, the spectacular sunset and beautiful night sky ( we even saw shooting stars!). It is a little expensive but well worth the money.

Perfect fall getaway

We had a wonderful time - kayaking, hiking, reading, enjoying lobster rolls, and cooking (in the very well equipped kitchen). The views from the house are beautiful on rainy days as well as sunny. Definitely a place to return to.

Idyllic spot on the Maine coast

We had a lovely 2 weeks at this beautiful spot with our family. Wonderful hiking fairly close by as well as neighboring towns to explore. We always returned back to the house to prepare dinner in the wonderful kitchen and to gaze at the beautiful view. Sue, the property manage was very receptive and very easy to deal with.

Beautiful place with a great view

Our family of 3 adult couples enjoyed a wonderful week at this beautiful house with a great view. The kitchen was very well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of space indoors and outdoors. We enjoyed a nature trip with Hardy Boats, a day in Rockland, and the trolls at the Botanical Gardens in Boothbay. We would highly recommend!

Great place to stay on the water!

We had a wonderful time at this house! It is literally on the water. The back yard is beautiful. We used the hammock and the chairs out by the water. I loved reading a book in the sun and watching the boats go by. Port Clyde was a gem! We loved the General Store and the Dip Net restaurant! I highly recommend the lobster roll at the Dip Net. It was my favorite one out of all the other places we ate lobster rolls at.

Relaxing week

With 2 king beds and 1 queen bed, this home provided very comfortable sleeping arrangements for our family get together of 3 adult couples. We will miss the sounds of the ocean and the sun lighting up the sky as a natural 5 am alarm clock! Mornings sipping coffee on the back deck, days exploring Port Clyde and Rockland, and evenings around the large dining room table playing cards/games made for a perfect vacation! Thank you for sharing this beautiful spot with us!

Quintessential Maine Experience! AMAZING!!!

Wow!! Just Wow!! This house was exactly as pictured. We were a family of 6 adults and the space was perfect for us. Well-stocked kitchen, comfy beds, and stunning views! Quiet & secluded, yet only 20-25 minutes to Rockland and Camden. We have stayed in many rentals and this one is definitely on the top of our list! Want to do it all again next year! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your GORGEOUS home!!!

Relaxing vacation home

Three Florida couples enjoyed relaxing in this beautiful home on the oceanfront for a second time. Our first trip was in early June 2021. We spent the restful week searching for sea glass on the beach, eating fresh, steamed lobster from the local dock, taking one of Linda Bean’s Wyeths By Water boat tours, and enjoying delicious ice cream and blueberry pies from the Port Clyde ice cream shop. A special treat this year were the wild turkeys and deer on the lawn in the early morning and late afternoon! We would highly recommend this home and area for a peaceful vacation!

Absolute Perfection

I can't say enough about this property and its location. Such a perfect distillation of Coastal Maine and all that makes it special. We were especially grateful for the proactive nature of the property manager and owner - very tiny issues early on, barely worth noting, that were handled as it they were much more serious, with tremendous follow up. The house and grounds are wonderful - our kids rolled out of the house in their pajames every morning to find new things in the ocean, and observing the family of wild turkeys that meander through the lawns. Such a wonderful place and time, we will surely be back soon.

A wonderful week!

Gorgeous waterfront home that gave our extended family of ten a relaxing and fun week. Port Clyde was a blast, as was our day trip to Monhegan (boat line is so close to this house!). Kayaked daily with the double kayak available on property (one of many), saw many seals. Very comfortable rooms, big property with more than enough to entertain three kids under 7. Kitchen was spacious and we had a lot of fun cooking big meals (favorite meal: lobster pasta, with lobster pulled fresh off the boat). One of my sons enjoyed watching the lobstermen work out in the water so much that he's decided he wants to become one! Looking forward to visiting again.

Great winter getaway!

Our group of 8 including 4 children ages 6-9 loved our stay in this home. We agreed that the pictures didn’t do it justice. The home is spacious with lots of light and incredible ocean views. The kids loved the backyard where they could play in the snow, the basketball hoop in the driveway and the ping pong table/games in the basement. The living room/fireplace was very cozy and the beds were comfortable. Location felt remote, quiet and peaceful. We spent several days in the Camden area about 40’ from the house. Great winter hiking and snow shoeing. There were also nearby hills for sledding. All in all, a great vacation spot!!

Secluded family retreat with spectacular views

This is an incredibly clean, lovely home with spectacular views. My family of four stayed here and absolutely loved it. The location is fairly remote, so be sure to stock up on groceries and supplies (we went to the Thomaston WalMart about 30 minutes away) with a few stops during our stay at the much closer, and far more charming, Tenants Harbor General Store for last minute items and fresh lobsters. We went in the winter so most restaurants were closed for the season, but we did eat at Ancho Honey and the Black Harpoon -- both delicious and nearby. This is a wonderful home if you are looking to spend time with your loved ones without a lot of distraction. Also, important (to us) to note -- wifi was very good for all our devices and streaming, and Verizon cell service strong.

Great views, so much to offer

Had a wonderful family reunion in this beautifulpdern home. Lots of space for 3 families, and modern kitchen, with lots of big windows and beautiful patio to soak up the mornings looking over the ocean. Sunsets were just breathtaking as we relaxed on the private beach each evening. Kids had so much to explore in tidal pools on the private beach, which they ran to early every morning. Kids were kept busy all day on the property with swimming, snorkeling and kayaking in the bay from our private beach. We could prepare our own fresh caught fish and lobster from Port Clyde fishermen just 5 min drive away. Kids also enjoyed nearby nature center, as well as Akaydia National Park, just 2 hour drive away. Lots of wild Turkeys with babies on the lawn, every morning were memorable.

Beautiful and thoughtfully designed contemporary house with stunning views

A well designed open plan kitchen and dining area opens to stunning views of Muscongus bay framed by well maintained lawns and flowering bushes and trees. The expansive living room offers views of the bay as well as the front garden. The furnishings are in the best contemporary taste with pops of color enlivening neutral expanses. The large and comfortable bedroom is equally well designed with five windows with ocean and garden views. The other bedrooms are all tastefully furnished with an artful mix of traditional and contemporary styles. It is rare indeed to find such a beautiful property on the rental market. Sue Howard is courteous, efficient , responsive and a pleasure to deal with.

Perfect retreat for adults and kids alike

I stayed at the Stone House with my husband, 3-year-old son, and parents and it did not disappoint. The home itself is immaculate - the finishings are high-end yet tasteful, and the open floor plan made it easy for us all to relax, be it at the huge kitchen island for breakfast, dinner overlooking the ocean in the dining room, or settling in on a cozy afternoon in front of the fireplace in the amazing mahogany-paneled living room. The kitchen itself looks brand new and is stocked with every utensil, cooking ware, or dish you could hope for. Upstairs, the bedrooms are spacious with incredibly comfortable beds. My son loved the bunk beds and it was such a treat for both sets of adults to be able to stay in rooms with king-sized beds. The property itself and views of the ocean are nothing short of remarkable - it's so peaceful to watch the tide roll in and out or the lobster boats trolling along, and I even saw a seal bobbing close to the shore one evening! There are also plenty of things to do if you feel like venturing out - Port Clyde, where you can visit the general store or the Marshall Point Lighthouse, or Rockland, where there are fantastic art galleries and charming shops to explore. Overall we had an amazing weekend and a wonderful experience - we'll definitely be returning to the Stone House!

Relaxing mini-vacation in spectacular spot

We travelled from NY state with our two adult children and their families for a 5 day escape from the stresses of the pandemic and politics. This home is just beautiful - inside and out- with spectacular views from nearly every window. The house has everything you could possibly need from kitchen supplies to a huge offering of games and books to kayaks. There is a telescope and binoculars for your use as well. We saw two bald eagles and enjoyed watching the lobster boats from the house. The little rocky beach is great for exploring and hunting sea glass and special rocks. The lawn was great for tag, corn hole and relaxing. We were even greeted with a delicious ME wine - an albarino no less - a favorite of mine. Going so late in the season, many restaurants were closed but we were happy to cook and got take out two nights. We cooked lobsters in their huge lobster pot with separate outdoor gas burner. There is a large dining table that is open to the kitchen so you can eat and cook and still be together. Seating areas abound throughout the house. The outdoor deck also has a dining table and furniture to maximize its use. We hope to return to this gorgeous home in the future.

Wow!!! Perfect Vacation

We saw the picture-perfect Stone House at the end of the dirt road, and when we walked onto the deck to take in the beautiful view, the discussion went like this: “What do you hear?” “Nothing except birds and water.” “It’s so peaceful.” So went our week in this beautiful home. It lived up to and exceeded the online descriptions with the added bonus of the now-finished lower-level game room, which we found out about during an e-mail exchange with property management. Property management was impressive to communicate with and quick to respond before, during, and after our stay. The Stone House was immaculately clean in every area. The king bed in the master suite was especially comfortable. The open floor plan of the kitchen and the living room created a fun family gathering with a lot of room for everyone to wander both inside and out. The Stone House was the perfect location for a milestone birthday and family reunion complete with a gourmet lobster dinner, challenging croquet matches in the yard, and climbing on the rocks on the beach. We fell in love with this area, the small town of Port Clyde and neighboring Rockland, Rockport, and Camden, and could see ourselves retiring here. I have a feeling we'll be back,

Comfortable home in a lovely setting

We were two families with young kids who truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. The home is spacious, comfortable, and well appointed, however the real gem is the outdoor space and gorgeous views. We also found the hosts to be generous and accommodating. We'll be back. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
