McCaig`s View, nestled in a historic building constructed in 1902 to house the families of Lighthouse Keepers, seamlessly blends original features with modern comforts.
As you step into the living room, you`ll be greeted by a spacious and inviting atmosphere. The large window offers breathtaking views across the bay to Oban town and McCaig`s Tower, creating a picturesque backdrop for your stay. Relax on the plush 3-seater and 2-seater sofas while enjoying entertainment on the Smart TV. The recently refurbished kitchen (completed in 2024) boasts modern units and is fully equipped with an electric cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and microwave. You`ll find everything you need in this well-appointed kitchen.
The two bedrooms are thoughtfully arranged to cater to different preferences. The master bedroom, located at the front of the building, treats you to stunning bay views and features a comfortable king-size bed and dressing table with mirror. The second bedroom, situated at the back of the building, overlooks the peaceful back garden and offers a super-king bed that can be transformed into a twin upon request. Each bedroom comes with a wardrobe, bedside cabinets and a set of drawers.
The bathroom provides a relaxing space with a shower over a bath tub, ensuring a comfortable and refreshing experience. While retaining its historic charm with high ceilings and cornices, McCaig`s View has been updated with modern improvements, ensuring a cosy and enjoyable stay.
The large garden to the back of the building is shared with three other flats. Please note that the garden is not secure, so it`s essential to keep an eye on your furry friends. Dogs are welcome (max 2) but kindly refrain from allowing them on furniture or into the bedrooms, do not leave them unattended. Car parking, for one vehicle only, is available via a narrow roadway to the left of the building. We do not take responsibility for your vehicle whilst at the premises.
Just a leisurely 10-minute stroll will take you to the heart of Oban town centre, where you can explore charming shops, delightful restaurants, and experience the vibrant local atmosphere. For those planning to embark on island adventures, the ferry terminal is conveniently close, only a 12-minute walk away. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to Pulpit Hill Viewpoint, a mere 5-minute walk from the accommodation. Take a short hike to this vantage point, and you`ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. If you`re in the mood for a scenic drive, head north for just an hour, and you`ll find yourself in the captivating town of Fort William.

Appartement super propre, grand et bien situé. Notre hôte était super gentille et à laissé plein de petites attentions pour notre arrivé (confiture, bouteille de mousseau, chocolats, etc). Cet accueil était vraiment impressionnant et nous avons adoré.
