About this property

Nashville Old Hickory Lake Home

First, the house was completely painted inside January 2022. Please, please be careful with your luggage, my walls had skid marks and some damage from the luggage being brought in. There will be a charge for repainting if damaged. If you see anything as you move in, please call it to my attention.

4100 sq ft home finished in July 2017. Everything is huge, each bedroom (one down, two up stairs) consist of a large walk in closet and on suite bathroom and tub. Master bed room on the main level is what you would expect, large walk in shower, duel sinks, toilet bidet, walk in closet, TV, King size bed. There are two decks, an upper deck with no roof for sunbathing or just relaxing, middle deck off the living area with a spiral staircase down to the ground. The House is called Two Foot because of the location, the unofficial recreation area we call Two Foot has been a hot spot for 25 years or more. Boats anchor there to be able to walk around in the Two Foot water, usually around 50-100 boats are there during any given weekend. The property is a couple of doors down from one of the most famous country music entertainers in the world. It's a possibility you may see her but please do not approach.
Please no drinking parties, no Bachelor parties! Family atmosphere.
I do have a small apartment downstairs that I do spend some weekends there. It is not part of the rental.
Again, this is a smoke free home, that means everything. If you must smoke, go to the road or down to the lake. I have some guest think that Vaping is not smoking. If caught, you will be asked to leave, I will terminate the rental. There are no exceptions.

No more than 8 people which includes children, babies, etc. Not reading this contract is not an excuse. You will be charged $250 pp per night for anyone over the 7 persons limit if caught. This includes children sleeping in your bed.

Old Hickory Lake
This house was as advertised and really great. The Property manager was responsive the one time I needed assistance and the property was clean. We enjoyed time on the lake, and rented boats at the local marina. The neighborhood was nice and all of the amenities we needed were available at the house. Great stay!

Paradise In Tennessee
My sister and I took my 92 and 95 year old parents to TN to see their granddaughter and her family. They wanted to see where she and her husband are going to raise their family! Needless to say we had concerns about my parents mobility and how they would handle the trip! Well, Ronnie was so accommodating he helped make it such a memorable trip! My mom kept saying she wanted to move there she absolutely loved it! The rooms are so spacious with towering windows and a gorgeous views of Old Hickory Lake! We’d wake up and have our Bailys and coffee on the deck…we’d watch the birds, and soak in the stillness of the morning before the festivities began on the lake! We went over the 4th of July so we saw amazing fireworks, a fun lighting storm, fireflies and plenty of people/boat watching in, “Two Foot Cove.” Did I mention the gorgeous home? It’s the perfect layout with all you need, including a dock, where we were able to keep the pontoon boat in for our boat rides to a few restaurants and just playing and relaxing on the water. I used their paddle board too…a great place to learn! I can’t thank Ronnie and his wife enough for making our trip so perfect! It truly was a blessing to us to be able to enjoy this gorgeous home that was so tastefully done! We hope to return next year…hopefully with my parents!

Be Careful
I brought my wife and 5 kids down for Labor Day weekend. My kids ages are 3, 5, 9, 13, and 14. Two of the days my cousin and his wife came down for a day on the water. The owner was EXTREMELY difficult, unhappy, and angry. He stayed in the basement. He yelled at my kids for spraying bug spray to close to what he said was "his space". This was the bottom deck, don't use. He then made a scene by getting angry and overly animated because we had 2 people stop by to spend the day on the lake. He made it clear his septic can't handle more then 7 people and that kids cause more damage then adults. He was hanging out in the back yard getting into arguments with the neighbors during the weekend. We hid some things from the kids in the bottom deck and he threw them away without asking. We had no idea we were sharing this house with the owner. We have NEVER stayed at a place where we were so closely watched. Overall the interior of the house was beautiful. The owner and the area are worth looking for somewhere else to stay.

Gather and Enjoy your time at the Lake.
Half of the group was attending a conference in Nashville about a thirty minute drive from the house. Great place to gather and decompress after the conference. Entire group was able to enjoy the lake house. Sunrises and sunsets as well as the weather was beautiful. House was very clean. Next time we need to extend our stay for more days.

Great time on the lake
My family had a wonderful time staying here. We thoroughly enjoyed the house, the location and everything inside and outside. It was great to sit on the porch in the mornings and evenings enjoying the sounds of nature. Ronnie was great to have as a host and made the entire experience very easy.

Semi retired car dealer who loves this old lake. I, along with my son have been coming here on weekends for many, many years. My wife and I live on an 83 acre farm about 30 miles from the lake house. We have cows, horses, donkeys, ducks, chickens, etc. Several of our animals are rescues from different situation, even the ducks and chickens :) I don't know how many barn cats we have, they are everywhere :) We have 3 dogs, all rescued Pitbulls, Bruce, Stella and Zoey. They are our kids :) The lake house is my weekend retreat in the summer time. My wife works and has to stay at our home in Nolensville, Tn to take care of the critters.
I have a small apartment downstairs at the lake house in which I do stay some weekends when I'm not drag racing around the East Coast.

Why they chose this property

It was handed down by family, one of the nicest properties on the lake because it is fairly large and level lot next to the lake, Perfect for pitching ball, volleyball, badminton, etc.

The backyard lake is a weekend gathering spot for local boaters we call 2 Foot, that's where the house name came from.

What makes this property unique

This property is probably one of the best locations on Old Hickory Lake, we have the large flat area for volley ball, bad mitten, etc The back yard is one big party on the weekends as it is known as Two Foot, an un-official water recreation spot. It is pretty noisy on Saturday and Sundays during the summer months, nothing much I can do about it. Most guest love to people or boat watch. You can take the paddle boards or canoe out and just mingle with all the boaters or jump in for a game of water volley ball.
