Explore the scenic surroundings by boat, bicycle, or on foot. After a barbecue, take a leisurely SUP (stand-up paddleboard) tour through the beautiful villa neighborhood and watch the sunset from the water. In winter, cozy up by the fireplace with a hot chocolate and play board games. At the end of the day, settle contentedly into the hanging chair in the sunny conservatory.

The host, Jan, lives next door and is always available if needed. If anything comes up, feel free to drop by, call, or send a message. There is always someone available during your stay.

📍 LOCATION
The villa is situated in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood in Vinkeveen, featuring lovely detached waterfront homes. The location is easily accessible by car or taxi, though not by public transport. Within walking distance, you will find Restaurant Wander Island and Koffiehuis De Goede Morgen. Zandeiland 1 is less than a 5-minute walk away; this is a sandy beach where children can play in shallow water.

The Vinkeveense Plassen (Vinkeveen Lakes) area is wonderful to explore by boat or bicycle, where water and greenery go hand in hand. The vast polder landscape and the Botshol nature reserve are just a stone`s throw away. There are various scenic walking, cycling, and boating routes in the area. The house is located within the Dutch Waterlines World Heritage site. Cycling along the Gein River from Abcoude takes you through the centuries-old Dutch landscape that inspired many of Mondrian`s paintings. There is a wide variety of restaurants in Vinkeveen and the nearby town of Abcoude, ranging from chic, trendy spots to cozy casual eateries.

- The parking area is approximately 100 meters from the house. The house itself is accessible only on foot. We can assist with luggage; a trolley is available.
- For bookings of 14 days or longer, an interim cleaning service including a change of bed linen and towels is mandatory (€125).
