The accommodation is spread over four floors and offers visitors a rare opportunity to experience living in a historic Maltese house packed with original features. From the moment you open the front door and enter the grand hallway with its vaulted ceiling you are immersed in Maltese history. Enjoy the cool tranquillity of the private courtyard with its lush planting or relax in the sunshine on the roof terrace.
The local restaurants offer fantastic menus, so you may not need to cook, but if you wish to, our modern kitchen has all the amenities you will need - or fire up the BBQ!
Staying at Villa Mistral will give you a taste of the real Malta.

From the moment you step into this palace, you could not ask for anything more. The most beautiful place you could ask for. We were two families totaling seven. Everyone had their own space, own bathroom. Centrally located in Birgu. Mark is the host was always responsive. Do not hesitate to book this place.
Marcus was the perfect host. He met us on arrival and allowed us to store our bags whilst we walked around the historic city and he made the house perfect. Beautiful house, he really has a good eye with all rooms fitted out to an extremely high standard, whilst retaining all of the original charm and features. Two firework displays whilst we were there, the sevind in my brother’s birthday which we watched from the fabulous roof terrace. Could not have been better

Hi I am Marcus and I am Anglo-Maltese. I am a Maltese history and historic house lover. I love this house and the area and I want to share this amazing property with you. We have a spent a long time getting this house just how we want it and hope you enjoy it too.
Why they chose this property
Birgu is 'old' Malta in its authentic self, historic, immaculately clean and quiet without being lifeless. The quaint old streets are charming. It's close to the marina and the beach. And Valletta is just 15 mins away what's not to like?
What makes this property unique
Villa Mistral forms the major part of a former renaissance Palazzo built in the late 16th century. From the outside it has fine baroque stone features, beautiful overhanging balconies and the famous traditional Maltese enclosed balcony called a 'Gallerija'. Once inside the entrance hall you will be impressed by the stone mouldings around the doorways, and the stone vaulted ceiling, the cantilevered staircase is a work of art in itself. You can follow into the courtyard where there are tropical plants and a table and chairs so you can read a book and enjoy a coffee. All the bedrooms are furnished beautifully with excellent mattresses. There is a fabulous roof terrace with partial sea views of `Valletta and the grand harbour
