The space
Ca’Lupetta has been my home (and my daughter’s) ever since I left Milan. I live here with my dogs, cats, and chickens, surrounded by our 2,000 blueberry plants and the woods. Even though we’re just 10 minutes from the towns and tourist attractions of Lakes Maggiore and Orta, 10 minutes from the highway, and 15 minutes from Malpensa, our immediate neighbors are a hayfield, woods, the Ticino Valley, and... the horses and blueberries on the neighbouring farm. I wanted to dedicate part of my large house to three small but comfortable and completely independent and self-contained apartments, equipped with all the amenities not always considered “obvious” in a country home, to provide every amenity not only for those on a traditional agritourism holiday but also for those travelling or staying for business.
Other things to keep in mind
The most important thing for me when travelling is “1) having everything I have at home; 2) sleeping comfortably!” Easy, right? It’s all relative (and not that simple to provide, even though I think—and hope—I’ve come close!), but comfort shouldn’t be compromised. That’s why I’ve made rest a top priority. Rather than a sofa bed, I searched for and selected a comfortable bed that also doubles as a sofa. So you’ll sleep on a real mattress that’s thicker than a typical sofa bed, in a design that’s simple and easy to open (and close).
To reach the apartment, you’ll need a car, as the area isn’t well-served by public transport.
