Enjoy your visit to Ellijay in our luxury Lodge Apartment at Deep South Station. This property’s greatest amenity is its perfect location for enjoying all the activities the North Georgia Mountains have to offer! Located only 2.5 miles from historic downtown Ellijay and 6 to 10 miles from Ellijay's most popular apple houses, you are located only minutes from the best of our mountain town! Enjoy apple picking, horse-back riding, wine tasting at our local vineyards, hiking, tubing, the drive-in theater, enjoy downtown Ellijay and Blue Ridge…there are unlimited things to do! Nestled perfectly between Ellijay and Blue Ridge, you are in the perfect spot to enjoy the best that each town has to offer!

The lodge is equipped with 4 bedrooms and three bathrooms. One main floor bedroom has a king bed with access to a full bath on the main floor. The second main floor bedroom has two queen beds and a bunk closet all with access to an ensuite full bath. The upstairs has a bedroom with a queen bed and twin bed as well as a bunk room with 3 sets of bunkbeds and a full bed. Both upstairs bedrooms share access to full bath located in the upstairs hallway. There are also three luxury cots that can be placed in any room at your convenience. There is an additional charge of $10 for each guest over 12.

The large kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, oven, microwave, toaster oven, standard coffee maker, and dishwasher. The large dining table can seat 10 and the bar can seat 4. The lodge is also equipped with it’s own washer and dryer for your convenience.

The lodge has a large private courtyard complete with a gas grill, wood fire pit and table seating for 12.

Property is located up a flight of stairs. The downstairs in an event space that rents out separately.

Son’s Wedding

This property is not a cabin. It is a make shift cabin above a strip mall. They fail to tell you, you have to climb 23 steps to get in the building. My 86 year old father had to climb these. There are an enormous amount of rules. If you get make-up on their cheap overused washcloths, that’s 5 dollars. If something happens to their TJ Maxx towels , $15. They only give you one garbage bag for the trash can. Also, Vrbo charges a cleaning fee. We had to strip beds we slept in, empty the trash, and climb down the 23 steps to get to the dumpster. There’s a loose step going up the steep stair case, hinges on cabinets were loose, faucet in the upstairs bathroom,the handle was broken, shower on the first floor isn’t attached properly, someone’s old soap was stuck on the shower. Other than the great location right off of 515, this place is more like a frat house for young people. It is not a cabin!!!!!

Family Christmas Trip

Overall this was a really nice place to stay. Don’t book here if you can’t handle lots of stairs. The place was very clean and in a great location. It was quiet and we saw that people were in and out of the space downstairs but we never heard them. The only issues with the house was that the hot water handle on the sink in the upstairs bathroom was broken and the pans in the kitchen were unusable. Also, the grills are old, dirty, and rusted so we couldn’t use them. Other than that, our large family had a great time here and I love that it was open downstairs so we could all be together in one space.

Fun town but less fun rental

My elderly parents beat us there and could not get in. The code was supposed to be the last four of our phone number but it was not. It was 9 degrees and snowing and by the time the host finally got us the right numbers my parents were cold, tired, and frustrated. Then, there was no power. Again, it was 9 degrees outside. We had to stay the first night in a 50 degree apartment. It was so uncomfortable we almost left. The host was useless regarding getting the power back on. I personally had to create a ticket with the local power company to get them out to make the repairs. Once the power was on we made the best of the trip, Afterall it was Christmas and Elijay is a lovely town. A few other things that should be addressed before they keep renting this location out. A. the oven only works sometimes. B. The shower head in the dowstairs hall bathroom is about 7 feet high so my vertically challenged family members could not shower in that room. C. There is a severe lady bug infestation. They will literally crawl across your face as you sleep at night. Fortunately we aren't weirded out by lady bugs. Also, you can't use the shower in the master bath because it drains so slowly it is unrealistic for anything beyond a basic training shower.
