Everything was great, just removed a star because one of the two air conditioning units made a very loud noise every 2 minutes or so, which made it very hard to sleep. Bring ear plugs and you are golden.

This review is full of fale statements:
1. Only ONE unit (living room) has the pump which makes a very low buzz (only 33 dB, the lowest on the market)
2. It's FALSE that it starts every 2 minutes, the 1st hour it may be every 10 minutes then once per hour or even nothing for hours
3. Pumps exist for a reason: units without pump are prone to leaking, which means stopping air conditioned during stay, as it often happens in other apartments
4. Its' the first time I hear of "ear plugs" in this silent apartment, as dozens of review confirm in many portals: this is a haven of quietness not buzzing
5. Apartments in other neighborhoods and lower stories are very noisy because of car traffic or crowds of people partying until dawn
6. This is the only really quiet neighborhood of downtown Rome, even during day, with a semi-pedestrin street, broad and light not a dark alley like in most downtown Rome
7. I did not receive any complaint during stay nor any proof whatsoever
Great place to stay for high end shopping, very clean, elevator was great, view was amazing, everything you need to feel at home

Thanks Julio! This peaceful nieghborhood is full of picturesque glimpses and broad pedestrian streets! The transparent glass elevator is among the few in downtown Rome which serves all floors, **even the last one, no stairs needed!**
My husband, brother, and sister all stayed at this amazing place back in May and loved it! It was so clean, so beautiful inside, and the VIEW! We also really appreciated how quiet it was. I assumed being right on a Main Street in crowded Rome would mean we would struggle to sleep at night but not at all! Maybe it’s partially because we were so far up above the street? Anyway, we were quite comfortable. The bathroom was incredibly clean and well equipped. I must say that the shower is kind of small. I was fine because I’m 5’6” but my husband (who is 5’10”) had to stoop a bit in the shower because he couldn’t stand all the way up. Oh well! For the price and the location and the cleanliness and the easy communication with our host, my husband did not mind stooping in the shower at ALL!It was a hike to get upstairs (like the equivalent of 8 flights because the apartments must be all 2 story and we were in the top floor) which was a bummer for my brother as he was too claustrophobic to use the tiny elevator. My sister and I could fit in the elevator just fine and loved it. We LOVED the closeness of the apartment to food, a grocery store, a train station, shopping, and most of all: gelato. We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend it!

This review was left 2 months after stay and there are various wrong statements:
1. The apartment is at 5th floor, not 8th. Ceiling height of lower floors is around 98 inches/2,5 m, exactly the same of US and European countries. It’s not a castle with “double ceilings”.
2. The elevator fits 2 extra-large persons and bags of any size. As you can see from pictures it is a transparent glass elevator, so very airy and unique in Rome. The size is standard for downtown Rome but the big difference is that it’s one of the very few which goes from ground floor to the apartment.
In most *other* buildings, there is either no elevator so you have to make 1-3 flights of stairs minimum or, in the best case, it serves only until the penultimate floor so you have to make one flight of stairs.
Here, no stairs at all!
3. The shower is 72,83 inches (185 cm) high as specified in the ad. Accurately measured with meter. I am 70,86 inches (180 cm) tall, so more the guest declares in review, and don’t touch even in the sink area, which is exactly 70,86 inches high. If you want more height, just remove the showerhead and hold it in your hands.
4. The street is semi-pedestrian, so relatively quiet but apartment floor is very important to ensure great quietness and safety. Many owners don’t show views like me and for a reason.
When inquiring please ask the host the apartment floor, if the street is pedestrian and if it’s bright and airy like this one or a quite dark alley, like many downtown ones. This is even more important in *other* neighborhoods, where there is either car traffic or crowds of people partying at late night: in a low story apartment this may cause problems of noise and safety.
Here you have the peace comparable to a countryside dwelling, very rare in an urban environment, real safety (also the neighborhood, quiet at night, is probably the safest in Rome) and light and views which make your vacation unforgettable!
