Fern Cottage is a lovely cottage in the heart of Whitstable, perfectly located for the seafront and the high street with its abundance of friendly and lively cafes, restaurants, pubs and boutique shops. The stylish interior perfectly complements the period features of the cottage with the addition of contemporary artwork, soft hues of green and blue, and modern furniture, all creating a charming seaside holiday home. This lovely former fisherman’s cottage sleeps four guests. On the ground floor is a cosy sitting room, an open plan kitchen / dining room with wood burner. The bedrooms are on the first and second floor. On the first floor is a second seating area with comfy daybed and a handy desk and chair for working from 'home'. Outside, there is a pretty enclosed seaside garden, the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a busy day at the beach. Whitstable is a vibrant town famous for its working fishing harbour and of course the oysters. It is also a haven for artists – painters, potters, glass artists and many more, all exhibiting in art galleries, open air markets and craft fairs. Live music is abundant in the many friendly pubs and cafes, and the sunrises and sunsets are spectacular.

Perfect Location
We loved our stay at Fern Cottage. It was such a comfortable property, with lovely decor. The enclosed garden was a haven for our dog Ralf and perfect for sitting out in the sun and the short walk (a couple of mins) to the Main Street and sea front was a gift. The kitchen had everything we needed and the property had such a relaxing feel to it. Such a great base for exploring Whitstable and beyond. Can highly recommend.

Charming bijou cottage
Great little cottage. Nice and warm in what was very cold weather. Comfortable beds.great bathroom. We were two adults for 4 nights and 4 for 3 nights. It felt a bit tight for 4 of us. Great position just 300m from harbor and lively high street.

Lovely stay
We, a dutch couple with their dog, had a lovely stay for a week in fern cottage. Luckily we could park on the street and we didn't use the car untill it was time to go.
A lovely bed, bath shower, kitchen and garden and really next to the center. It was spot on. The only thing we missed was a hoover or broom. It was two days very hot and the dog was losing a lot of hair.
Great location and lovely cottage. A couple of things for feedback though to improve it for others would be: 1. Put black-out blind or curtains in the front bedroom2. Tidy up the garden 3. Fix the front of the dishwasher properly (it fell off and hurt my husbands foot) 4. Cover the holes in the door of the downstairs toilet/utility room.
