Great house find for our family. House was clean and cozy. The beautiful mountain views were amazing from the house and deck. Absolutely would recommend to others
Vacation in your own mountain paradise! Our family of 6 stayed here for a week with ease! Close enough to essentials like grocery & food but far enough to see every star and hear the river running at night from the back deck! Well stocked kitchen, fluffy towels, cozy beds, and a beautiful fire.
Our family enjoyed both the location and the house itself. The home was clean and as described. The communication with the owners was quick when needed and they were friendly and helpful.
The area is great too- we had a fun at the creek within the community and felt like the location was good for driving to places we wanted to visit as well.
Overall, it was a great stay!
The property was perfect for our family. The views and coziness of the home were just what we were needing. There was plenty of room for our 4 kids & very thankful for the playpen provided that our baby used. We were able to drive around an hour to Biltmore Estate & Sevier County, TN. Would hilghly recommend this property!
Hard to imagine a better experience. Owners had prepared a beautiful house on a beautiful property in the most thoughtful way, with great information on local things to see and do. Very close to Hot Springs, hiking, etc. But the house is immaculate and delightful. Hard to beat. We felt fortunate to be able to be there.
We spent 10 wonderful days in April at Angela's rental. The property was spotless and had everything we needed. We enjoyed eating on the deck and watching the mountains turn green. It is a very quiet development and we enjoyed the path along Big Laurel Creek for a short walk when we weren't out on a trail. It was very nice to have a garage available!
For a wonderful meal, head to Stoney Knob in Weaverville but be sure to make reservations. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. Thank you for making your wonderful home available.
The house was gorgeous and so well kept/organized. I went with my husband and 8 year old son. We enjoyed spending quality time by the fireplace on rainy days. We played board games and watched movies by the fireplace. The kitchen had everything we needed to make food. Ingles, to me, is not too far away. Waking up and enjoying my coffee as I looked at the mountains was probably the highlight for me. This was the perfect spot to disconnect from work and focus on my family.
I hope to be back soon.
Couldn't have been more satisfied.
The location itself was absolutely stunning. It provided the perfect backdrop for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway. The clean, crisp mountain air and the tranquility of the surroundings instantly made us feel at ease.
The VRBO property itself was a true gem. It was impeccably maintained, and the attention to detail was evident in every corner. The interior was cozy and well-appointed, with all the amenities we needed to make our stay comfortable. We particularly loved the spacious deck, which offered panoramic views of the mountains and was the ideal spot to enjoy our morning coffee.
The hosts were incredibly helpful, providing us with recommendations for local hikes, restaurants, and activities.
This stay allowed us to reconnect with nature, relax, and enjoy quality time with loved ones. It's a slice of heaven for anyone seeking a peaceful, scenic, and rejuvenating escape. I can't wait to return to this mountain oasis and make more cherished memories.
We had previously booked another listing, which was then canceled 3 days before our family vacation due to being double-booked. So, it was crunch time, and I stumbled upon this gem, which was luckily available. This all worked out so well because this house was perfect! It was super clean, getting into the house was hassle-free, and the mountain views were fabulous! The only downsides (which are not the homeowner's fault, they were mine due to the last-minute plans and no time to research) were that this is kind of far away from everything. All of our planned events were either in Pigeon Forge, TN (about an hour and a half away) or Asheville, NC (about 45 mins). Our boys are all into football, but we didn't let them throw the ball in the backyard because the drop from the edge is STEEP. With my luck, that ball (and possibly a child) would have been gone. If you're looking for something with a quiet setting that's away from everything, this is perfect. We would stay here again if my husband and I ever came down either by ourselves or with friends!
The house is on the side of a mountain in a secluded neighborhood. You don't see your neighbor and it's a quiet area with a beautiful view. Our son and his friend from scouting days are hiking the Appalachian trail so this house was in a great area to meet up with them for a few days. They used the house as a "base camp" at night and hiked with a lighter pack during the day. They hiked about 50 miles of the trail during the time we were there and took one day off to rest and repack their food and gear for the next two weeks on the trail. The house is in a great location for taking hikers to various points on the the trail to drop off and pick up miles later. During the day, my husband was able to work on his laptop with no problem. Finding the Ingles grocery store was easy and is about 15 minutes away. The kitchen was well stocked with the cookware we needed to cook the healthy meals the hikers required since they have dietary restrictions. I especially appreciated the nice assortment of sharp knives. We made good use of the washer and dryer in the basement and liked having a garage where the guys could air out their tents and gear. I wish all the places we rented were this nice.
We enjoyed waking up to the mountain views each morning and the wildlife that ventured into the yard! We found the location to be central enough to visit mulitple attractions while in NC. We walked the Laurel Creek trail twice and Lover's Leap once. Will return to the area again! The property is clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.
We enjoyed our wonderful & relaxing 2 week get away in this beautiful home. We cooked all of our meals in the well stocked kitchen & enjoyed the amazing views from the back deck. This home is truly Spotless!! The WIFI worked really good & was fast. Our Verizon cell service worked fine on the property & on walks down at the creek. Angela was such a wonderful host. She responded quickly to any questions we had & she truly cares about her guests. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home. Mike & Glenda
Communication with Angela and Kyle was flawless. I appreciated the binder with detailed information and suggestions of activities and restaurants, in the area.
Their home is spotlessly clean, comfortable, well equipped and spacious enough for 5 adults to spread out in. The view is gorgeous, we especially appreciated watching the sunset from the deck.
The neighborhood is so pretty. We enjoyed the bubbling river and only wished we had more time to spend there.
It is a perfect location to do many hikes. We particularly enjoyed Max Patch and Laurel River. The small town of Marshall is close by and there we enjoyed eating at Star One Diner and The Old Marshall Jail Hotel - truly a unique place.
We had a wonderful stay and would come back again.
We are a family of 5 and stayed for a long weekend. We absolutely loved it! The home is cozy, comfortable and has everything you need away from home. The view was beautiful and the location was very easy to get to with lots of fun and trails nearby. We really enjoyed our stay and will come again :)
Stayed two weeks solo just to escape gloomy Michigan and it was perfection! Angela is an excellent host, very responsive and detailed. The house is extremely clean. I’m allergic to everything and had no issues. I was working remote and transformed the dining room table into my work station… what a view! Kitchen is well stocked, super spacious yet cozy, great grocery store just 15-20 minutes away, and a lot of excellent day trip hiking.
What a great home - just minutes to many hikes, the Pisgah Forest, Hot Springs, Marshall and 30 mins from Asheville. Beautiful, clean home with everything we needed. Easy to get to and Angela was very kind and in touch quickly always. Perfect little spot to hang out - beautiful deck with view of the mountains and space to move around. The attached garage was awesome with the rain and cooler weather we had. Beds, pillows, and towels were all top quality and luxurious feeling. Pure treat! Thank you Angela.
Beautiful property and loved our stay. House was welcoming, spotless, and had amazing views. I highly suggest sitting on the back porch late at night to catch the gorgeous view of the Milky Way in the starry sky!
We loved the setting, the peacefulness, and it was wonderful to have a gas fireplace and garage. The home was very nice and comfortable. It was easy to come and go- no extreme mountain roads! We were high enough so that Tropical Storm Fred did not effect us or the home. The owner was accommodating and touched base to see if we needed anything- very helpful. We were only 5 miles from Hot Springs- we took advantage of the mineral spa- highly recommend it.

Why they chose this property
Finding this beautiful property was love at first site. We couldn't resist the charming lodge feel and spectacular views in such a peaceful community with easy road access.
What makes this property unique
The community encompasses approximately 315 acres forest with only 16 homes. It's like a 5 star hotel inside your own private national park, plus all of Madison County's gems nearby to explore.
