A little rustic but well equipped and great location. We were there in a heat wave and there was a small ac unit in the living room but not in the bedroom. However there was a sizable fan that worked great and kept us cool at night. 5 min walk to Uffizi and Pitti Palace and within 10-15 mins walk to other must sees
Probably the best accommodation I have ever stayed in. Actually on the Ponte Vecchio, the beautiful property is atmosperic and superbly decorated to match the age of the building. I wish I could live there forever
I was concerned that being on the Ponte Vecchio would be loud but it was amazingly quite. Place was clean and everything you needed was there. An amazing experience.
Can’t beat the location, did not find to be too loud after dark and everything worked as it should in the apartment. Clean but not glamorous. Communication with he host was great and any questions were quickly responded to.
Location is fabulous and view from living room is lovely. There is no a/c in the bedroom but if you open the windows it’s really loud plus the mosquitos were awful. Bought 2 cans of bug spray and still got bites all over. Would like property more in winter.

It's Italy
Terrific location. The bedroom is not airconditioned. The living room has a floor unit that cools a little bit.
The shower/tub is small and dangerous. Nothing to hang onto and have to bend over and step down into tub/shower. Needs a seat and handrail. Wonderful place, bathing arrangements easy to fix, have to be fixed. Very misleading to say it's air conditioned. Really enjoyed! Honest description would have been helpful
The best aspects of this apartment are the central location, and the view of the water from the den. There is sufficient space throughout the apartment, although the bathroom and kitchen are quite small. But you are right in the middle of the Florence action - with a full grocery right across the street. Countless cafes, shops, and restaurants right as you exit the apartment. Only one flight of stairs, so not bad at all. The only notable downside is that since you are located in the middle of the action, it is very loud well past midnight - every day. So be sure to bring a new set of earplugs, otherwise getting to sleep could be an issue. But we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would gladly stay again!

Better Communication Needed
The apartment is an interesting place in a super location. We can stay in a modern American style hotel anytime so this location was a good change of pace.
The check-in was problematic in that we 1) needed a better explanation of where to find the door 2) the owners daughter sent us a wrong picture of the lock safe so it took several calls to get into the apartment and 3) we couldn’t get out of the building easily as the building knob had fallen off. They fixed it in two days though it was a hazard in the event of an emergency. There was no kitchen linen so we used a hand towel and virtually no soap in the kitchen or bathroom. Lastly, bring bug spray if you are susceptible to mosquito bites. We left the windows open the first night as it was so beautiful. That’s a mistake on our part. A few more supplies and better communication would make all the difference here.
Before this stay, I didn't even know that people could live/stay ON/in the Ponte Vecchio! This immensely charming apartment not only has unparalleled views of the Palazzo Vecchio Tower and the picturesque outside of the bridge itself, but the bedroom window looks directly onto the Ponte Vecchio, right over a jewelry store below! The apartment was richly decorated with Italian antiques, and we felt like we had stepped into historical Florence--it was incredible! Note for future visitors: there are low ceilings (even at 5' 2" I ran into an arch a time or two) and the layout of the apartment is quite unusual (all due to it being an original, historic property), so keep that in mind. Also, the mosquitoes are fierce right near the river, even when we were there in November. Lastly, while it was absolutely a perfect set-up for my husband and I as it felt more authentic, this place is not set up as a luxury stay, so don't expect highly modern appliances/lighting/plumbing, etc. While it could use some updating here and there, everything is functional if somewhat outdated (I can only imagine how hard/expensive and a serious undertaking it would be to modernize the space within such an original and historic building framework!!). WE LOVED this place and hope that it stays a hidden gem so that we can afford to stay here again in the future!

We stayed at Stefania's property, booking just a few days before our arrival. We were well accommodated and given the keys and tour of the apartment by Mr. Vicenzo, who spoke little English but was super pleasant.
I was able to reach out various times to Stefania during our stay in Florence and she recommended a grocery store across the street and a great place to get bistecca!
The apartment is super charming. Decorated in antique furniture and wall hangings that really give you the feeling of visiting your relative's house from the "old country"! It overlooks the Arno River from the front room and looks down over the shops on Ponte Vecchio from the bedroom!
It was cool enough while we were there that we could actually throw open the windows at night and not be eaten by mosquitoes. We were serenaded each night by the live musicians on the bridge!
I cannot speak enough about the location and quaint nature of this place. If you want to feel like you live in Florence during you vacation, this place will do it!
Finally, we appreciated the small kitchenette and in room refrigerator, tv and wifi. The bathroom is clean and nice, but the shower is a little funky (even by European standards). Despite that, I think if you lean into it and embrace the quirkiness, you will love this place.
Bonus, on every picture of the Ponte Vecchio, you can locate this apartment's exterior window and green shutters. Makes for a fun way to point out where you stayed to your friends and family!
The location of this property is breathtaking. One really feels like part of old medieval Florence here. The grocery steps from the front door is a massive plus. A five minute walk to the Uffizi! Would absolutely stay here again.
The Good: Location, location, location! The apartment is very well situated in Florence—within walking distance of most major attractions. Check-in was smooth and easy. While the bedroom was a bit noisy, that’s to be expected when staying on a bridge and in such a central area. The Bad: The apartment is quite old and feels dusty. While the sheets, towels, and bathroom were clean, the rest of the space could use a deep cleaning. The carpeting throughout is very worn and, in some areas, appears to have mold or mildew. The Ugly: Unfortunately, we encountered bugs—either fleas or bedbugs—in the bedroom. After waking up with bites, we opted to sleep on the couch the second night.
This was nowhere near a run of the mill location. It felt more like living history and was the immersion into the area I know we would never have found anywhere else. The lower mark for checking in was mainly the challenges of cell service, but we made it. We've been gushing about the experience and how it added to our overall stay since our return.

Rustic but lovely stay.
This is a very old apartment on the non tourist side of the Ponte Vecchio, so we were not expecting 5 star hotel accommodations and for the most part loved our stay. The location was fantastic and the bed was comfortable. However, we only received 2 towels (for 2 people) for a week long stay and there were no toiletries available. We had to run out to buy toilet paper, soap and shampoo. The apartment was clean but needs a really good deep clean, there was a lot of dust on all the decor and fans. We were also eaten alive by mosquitoes, which I won’t hold against the hosts, but I recommend that you bring bug spray and after bite if you choose to stay here!
Very interesting decor! We enjoyed being right in the middle of town where we could walk to all the attractions and being on the Gold bridge and river was outstanding.

Beautiful location - unpleasant host, I don't recommend
We decided to splurge for our last few days in Italy and chose this location because of the view and unique architecture. We had no regrets about that. The decor makes you feel like you've gone back in time.
It was very warm when we were there in June, too hot to sleep with the bedroom window closed. The nightlife on the bridge didn't bother us, but the mosquitos did! The oscillating floor fan in the bedroom didn't work. I contacted the host, and she said to move the fan coil (a portable cooler) from the living room. We did that, but the window had to be open for the exhaust hose, hence .... mosquitoes. Neither I nor my husband slept well while we were there.
I would give this apartment a five star review despite the mosquitos, just because of the location and the view, except for a very bad experience with the host.
I made a mistake; I thought our booking was for one more night. My husband had gone out to explore while I stayed behind. The cleaners came at 10am expecting us to be gone. The host called and YELLED at me. "Get out NOW!" I apologized, told her I would pack up and leave as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, my husband didn't see my texts until much later. I packed everything and carried our bags down the stairs. Then I sat on the steps and waited for my husband to get back with the keys. The host continued to call and text. And yell. I don't blame her for being angry. I screwed up. But she could have handled it better. It was very upsetting.
Most Historically Authentic (but more convenient) Place I've ever Stayed
Every time we walked through the exterior door and up the concrete steps we were delighted. We pondered what the space may have been used for centuries before. The location was excellent and we laughed more than one night as we heard newly arriving visitors to the city arguing about directions on the bridge. The view across the river is magical and was the source of additional musings of the "secret passage," The Vasari Corridor that runs above the bridge. We felt completely immersed in history with our 16th century hair because of the bathroom water pressure, LOL. We would absolutely stay here again!
Thank you for sharing your space with us Stefania.
