The site was so peaceful, the lakeside cabins were perfect and had everything we needed. Loved cooking our dinners on the fire pit and open grill and eating alfresco. Visited Pocklington market, York and enjoyed walks in the woodland and afternoons relaxing by the lake.

First time visiting and we really enjoyed our stay, the cabin was spotless and had everything we need and more. Great if you want to switch off and relax. We went into York for the day which was only a 30min drive. We loved the BBQ fire pit too! Would definitely stay again, thank you!

Absolutely beautiful, peaceful, calm and surrounded by nature

The cabins are first class, private, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The site is managed with nature as a priority, focussed around the lake. We saw deer, bats, owls, heron and so many wild flowers and mushrooms. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It is very easy to access local amenities by car, all within 10-30 minutes including local shops, York, Pocklington and other tourist attractions. Already planning our next stay and can’t wait.

This place is truly amazing, but unfortunately the weather conditions prevent us from fully enjoyin

We’ve stayed here several times and always find it amazing. However, the weather — frequent rain and strong winds — often limits how much we can enjoy the outdoor of the cabin. Adding a gazebo or a covered space, along with some privacy walls to block the wind, would make a big difference. It wouldn’t take much to make an already wonderful place even more comfortable and enjoyable year-round. We hope to see these small improvements on our next visit. Thank you!
