This 100-year-old Venice Beach home is located steps from the sand on a quiet pedestrian walk street. Enjoy the beach lifestyle in this two-story, Spanish-style house. Lovingly maintained, it has original hardwood floors, beamed ceilings, and antique furniture. The sound of the ocean will rock you to sleep at night. There is a small rose-filled garden in front and a barbecue and hot tub in back. Great house for family gatherings. The kids can play on the beach or ride bikes on miles of bikepath along the coast. Many great restaurants and shopping opportunities abound within walking distance from house. Trendy Abbott Kinney is just a few blocks away. Explore the Venice Canals just a block close. What a brilliant find! - this lovely home is located meters from the beach, and super close to the Venice Canals and Abbot Kinney - Its kitchen is well fitted, and has an outdoor BBQ area too - we found going out for meals as a family in LA incrediably expensive - so to be able to stock up at Whole foods and Trader Joes and cook for everyone here was terrific. Also you may have been alerted to Venice being a bit of a dodgy area - but this location, despite its proximity to the beach, was quiet and safe Would rebook here in a heartbeat should we be lucky enough to return to Los Angeles - thank you so much for a wonderful stay

Babysitting by the beach...

Tina and Lisa's charming house was the perfect place to stay for our 3 generational visit. While our kids attended a nearby wedding, we had quick access to the beach and boardwalk to entertain the grandkids for the weekend. The house had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Check-in/out was simple and easy. With 5 adults, 2 kids, and a dog, the house was a perfect, relaxing place for an extended stay.

The house was clean and comfortable. A super location to walk one block to the beach and attractions: basketball, skate park, walking and biking path, and the lively beach scene. Kitchen well equipped and modern. Enjoyed the hot tub. Having two private parking spaces is a dream. WiFi, TV, and everything else made our family get together delightful for old and young.

Great vacation!

The Venice beach house was perfect for our family vacation! It’s literally 1 small block from the boardwalk, basically just across the street. It is a 100 year old home, exactly as advertised, so it has some quirks, but we loved it. And it perfectly accommodated our family of six adults, a 5 year old, and a 1 year old. Also, the host is exceptionally responsive and helpful. The kitchen was very well stocked and cooking there was easy. I definitely recommend this home.

As precious as diamonds

This beach cottage is outstanding. It is 200’ from the beach. It may be listed as a rental property but it is really a home that was clean, well stocked and beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub was a delight. The owners responded immediately to our text about a problem with the floor furnace and came by at 11 PM to light the pilot. I am reluctant to give such a strong review, because once the secret is out, it will probably not be available in the future, but it is what it is.

Super Bowl Weekend in Venice

This is a lovely home right on the beach in Venice, Ca. Close to shopping and great walks along the boardwalk. Sunsets are amazing.

Amazing!

We've rented dozens of houses all over the world and this was one of our favourites. It's proximity to the beach was amazing and we used the hot tub endlessly for the week. LA can be exhausting but in 30 seconds from the house you are on the beach and can walk for miles and hear nothing but the ocean. We will be back!

7 people arrived from 3 different places, ages child to senior. We packed tightly, but it worked great! We thought it was the best rental we’ve ever had…for value with location, amenities (including BEST-STOCKED), cleanliness, and classic historic beach house…I felt like a home -and a treat to be able to call it our place for our trip. Tina was quick and great to work with. We used many property-provided amenities we wouldn’t have had-or bought for a short vacation, like cooler, beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, holiday decor. We walked to activities/food much more than most houses because of excellent location. Thank you for trusting us with what felt like a well-lived and well-loved home!

Tina’s Venice House

The superlatives would fail to describe this house. This is our second time staying here and it was even better than the first. It is a little over one block to the beach. Sadly, the beach is closed to dogs but mine still felt drawn to it without experiencing it. The Boardwalk was a great to walk your dog. There were multiple places to dispose of a dog’s business. We were down for Thanksgiving. The kitchen was fully stocked. The dining room sat 6 with no trouble. We just loved this place. We look forward to returning. Just be aware the parking is not suitable for a midsize SUV or larger.

great location, fun area to explore

we were traveling with our daughter and grandson, he was touring colleges. The house is very comfortable and roomy. The bed in the master bedroom is high off of the floor and the pillows are lumpy. The bed in the second bedroom according to our daughter has a very soft mattress. The twin bed was very comfortable for our grandson. We slept with windows open and really enjoyed the sea breeze and sound of the surf. The kitchen has very thing you could possibly need for cooking and serving. The appliances are clean, new and work perfectly. The half bath downstairs is large with lots of natural light, the master bath shower is very close to the toilet so a challenge to turn on the shower before getting in. Otherwise the bathrooms were clean and plenty of very nice towels. The front garden is very charming. The neighborhood is quiet and we felt very safe. We would happily stay again and only suggest updating the bedding. Thank you Tina for sharing your house and beautiful art work.

Fun at the beach

The house was very comfortable and close to the beach. We visited other LA attractions during the day and it was always relaxing to come back to the house in the evening for some down time. We will be back!

Great location, Great Price!

Absolutely loved this location it was right next to the beach. Literally 1 min walk. You can also walk to a lot of restaurants nearby. The view from the main room is great. One of the other rooms had really stained bed sheets and pillow cases so I felt kinda gross sleeping in that bed. There was also only A/C in the living room and we thought it was in the whole house. There are fans in the rooms that did kind of help tho. Overall for the price the location was great. Very friendly host when we messaged. Would recommend this location for the price just needs the bedsheets changed to newer ones.

Venice Beach!

Tina's rental property was perfect for my family! The location was unbeatable and the house had everything we needed. We really appreciated the full soaps at each bathroom sink and plenty of clean towels. I would recommend the house to anybody looking for close proximity to Venice Beach.

Was a very good spot for us to be near our son in MDR. Nice haven in Venice - on the quieter side but with access to all the creativity that comes with Venice. great to have 2 parking spots - though very tight so don't bring anything bigger than a medium sized car/suv - it can be done just need to pull out to get anyone or anything in or out of the vehicle- but again was great to have two spots- so not a negative at all- overall a great spot. We did not have to communicate with the owners at all as instructions were clear and easy to follow.

I'm Tina Walter, my sister Lisa and I grew up in this house. We love it and enjoy having guests that will love it too. Mom and Dad bought it from the original owner/builder and we are always making changes and improvements to keep the house fresh, comfortable and enjoyable.

Why they chose this property

The beach house is quintessential Venice. Built in 1904 when Venice was in it's grand heyday. It's a great way to experience Venice and Los Angeles, in comfort and style.

What makes this property unique

The house is 2 houses from the sand, so swimming and playing on the beach are our favorite pastimes. We like to walk to our favorite local restaurants and people watch on the Venice Boardwalk. The house is great for casual entertaining, the dinning table will seat 12 and we've furnished the kitchen with a lot of dishes and silverware to make sharing our home with your guests a snap.
