Beautiful classic residence in a lovely part of Ann Arbor. Plenty of room for entertaining, including spacious outdoor seating areas, gardens, and lawns. Highly recommended.
Visited Ann Arbor to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from law school. Were delighted to be able to book this house—it was stunning, and also so roomy for our three other teens. Beautifully furnished, comfortable, with everything we needed. Great location to get to everything we needed easily. Owners were totally accessible and provided great check in & check out instructions.
We can't say enough about this home.. 2nd year in a row that we held our family reunion here..and again everyone loved it.. comfortable beds and furniture, entertainment and a wonderful kitchen ..
We loved our stay for a family wedding. The grounds were awesome for outdoor dining and the kitchen was well appointed as well. The owner was very responsible since as well!
Great reunion stay with friends in this charming Burns Park house. Beautiful neighborhood, kitchen, and outdoor area to enjoy grilling and visiting!

Excellent!
The perfect place for a family gathering in Ann Arbior for graduation ! The house is beautiful, the location is perfect, and the hosts were very responsive!
The Ives Woods home was stunning and comfortably hosted or group of 8. We were in town for a sorority reunion and football game. The house and location truly made it the perfect fall weekend in Michigan. The home itself and location greatly exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend for any groups taking a trip to Ann Arbor. Go Blue!
The location is nestled as if far away from the world while being just minutes from anything needed. A grand old place that is immediately comfortable.
Beautiful setting and great location.
We all grew up in A2 and the place was fitting for our gathering for Mom's memorial. Very Old Ann Arbor...lovely.

Nice place but needs updating and deep cleaning and more bathrooms
Summary is nice neighborhood and house size and close to Ann Arbor activities. The house needs updating, declutterring, another real size bathroom and a deep cleaning.
What a beautiful location!! We love the wooded area and welcoming neighborhood. While we felt completely nestled away from it all when we were in the home or the gorgeous backyard, we were just steps away from lovely walks, other beautiful homes, and easy access to the rest of Ann Arbor.
The hosts were super responsive, and the spot was ideal!
A wonderful place to gather with family and friends
We stayed here with extended family and friends for our daughter's medical school graduation. The house is amazing. It's got the charm and comfort of a grand old house with all the amenities one would want. There are lots of different rooms to gather in. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped. My grandson loved the basketball net and ping pong table. The grounds are beautiful with a lovely outdoor patio.
Tes was a great host, checking in on us periodically and quickly responding to any questions.
We stayed at this lovely home for a weekend in August 2021 for a wedding. It is indeed a historic home, so you have to expect and appreciate some vintage charm! It has been nicely updated and taken care of. Lots of space for the family to hang out and relax, and comfortable sleeping arrangements. Kids loved the big woodsy yard and the sunroom that was stocked with books and games. Very nice neighborhood a short drive from downtown AA.
The front door lock doesn’t work and you can. It lock the house up at all. Many of the lights were.
The house is beautiful. It needs some wirm

Wonderful family gathering place
Our family gathered for a weekend of memorials for my parents who had recently passed away. 10 of us slept at the house but there were about 15 more who joined us for drinks and meals. The house has many living rooms and outdoor spaces that create a great flow and are very conducive to conversation. The house has been beautifully restored and was fully stocked with all of the dishes, wine glasses, sheets and towels that we needed. We were too busy to take full advantage of the ping pong and pool table. It was a memorable weekend for our extended family in a beautiful house .

Beautiful home with great location in Ann Arbor
We were very happy to arrive at this historic, beautiful home in a prime Ann Arbor location. The owners, Tess & John couldn't have been more hospitable making it so easy to "check in" & depart. This trip was for a mom's weekend to visit our daughters at their sorority. Although Ann Arbor in March was cold & gray, this home offered an amazing cozy fee, yet all the while with a very bright and cheery interior. I can only imagine how beautiful this property is in full bloom when you can also enjoy the spectacular patio set up outside. Another surprise perk was our trip to the owners adorable woman's lifestyle shop V2V, in nearby Arbor Hills. It is a must stop shop if you are in the area. I would highly recommend this property & fully intend to book it again!! Thank you Tess & John! GO BLUE

Fantastic house for entertaining!!
We came together as family and friends from all over the country to celebrate a 30th birthday. Ann Arbor isn't the usual destination for a January birthday celebration and mother nature definitely didn't let us down by dumping 6-8 inches of snow. Nevertheless, we had an outstanding party for 30 people that included an amazing 4 piece jazz combo from the local high school. The owners were accommodating all around. We had enough dinnerware for the group of our size. The driveway and walk was plowed before the guests arrived. The house has ample rooms for a variety of activity. Our only regret is not being able to use the beautiful outdoor facilities. However, the lighting was perfect backdrop for the jazz group. It was a magical and majestic evening. Thanks Tes and John for making this birthday "the best ever" according to our daughter.
A very lovely house, and extremely quiet. The kitchen is supplied with everything one could possibly need, except for an odd shortage of coffee mugs. The layout is also odd--too many sitting areas but only one, fairly cramped, eating area off the kitchen (the original dining room is converted into yet another sitting room). The smaller beds are saggy and jiggly, so we didn't get much sleep; hence only 4 stars. Water pressure is also very low.
Be warned: if, like us, you see the photos of what appears to be a screened porch and envision evenings sitting there with a glass or wine, enjoying the night breezes and the sound of crickets, you'll be disappointed: it, and the sunporch off the second living room, are glassed-in, with no screens on windows or doors.
We certainly enjoyed staying in this beautiful, historic home. It is easy walking distance to campus, restaurants and shopping. Our group of friends like to cook when we get together, and the kitchen is well equipped. We loved our visit to A2!
