5 adult females looking for a nice relaxing getaway. The house had everything you’d need and even things you’d never even think of needing. The view and peacefulness of the property was so nice. And the owner is very kind and available if needed

Beautiful home, peaceful retreat

We loved our stay in this home! The views are breathtaking and the home includes all of the comforts and amenities we could hope for. Only wish we could have had a longer vacation here!

Perfect Fall weekend with friends

We never left the house once we checked in- it was that perfect for us. Most beautiful views of the lake and surrounding woods, comfortable and ample furnishings for 6. The beds were super comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Lake house

Our stay was wonderful. Perfect for two families. The house was lovely, beautiful view looking over (the frozen) lake. Kitchen stocked with basics and super comfy couch and living room area. Kids loved the downstairs play area. We had a great time!

We loved being right on the Big Pond. We enjoyed the kayak and the paddle boat. The kitchen is well equipped. Our host was very responsive when we had a question. There was plenty of space for all in our party. We plan to go back. Thank you Christine.

Siblings Getaway

Nice Siblings get away. There were 6 of us and we had a very nice time. Tucked away place, Very quiet most likely because it is off season and mid week. It was very relaxing so we could enjoy ourselves.

Lakeside in the Berkshires

This home was perfect for our family over the thanksgiving weekend. It has three levels and that provided privacy while the living area was open. Very clean, comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen and good location for exploring Stockbridge and Lenox. Hiking trails and canoeing made it great for activities. The owner communicated answering questions promptly and left simple instructions for the home. Loved staying here.

Quiet Weekend

Enjoyed a relaxing and quiet weekend stay. The property was wonderful, with beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere. Everything was just as described. The house was clean, spacious and extremely comfortable with more amenities than we could ever need for a weekend stay. Would be a wonderful place to stay for a week or even longer, and we really enjoyed our weekend. Excited to come back again. The owner was great to communicate with.

Friends getaway

We were two couples getting together. The house was remodeled and was a beautiful space with a view of the pond from the entire main floor. The house was well stocked and had plenty of space. We visited Lenox, Great Barrington and went a hike. Definitely would rent again if in that area.

May time relaxing and refreshing

The only reason I didn't rate accuracy 5 was related to the picture that shows the house from the lake. When you come down the driveway you see the front. Fortunately, Christine told us to look for the Gazebo.

Wonderful spot!

We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay here! Everything you need is provided, and the owners' attention to detail is evident throughout - from the labeled light switches to the booklet filled with recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. Beautiful views of the lake are provided through the large windows on the first floor and the expansive deck. The owners checked in during our stay and were very responsive. The local country store is a few minutes drive away for picking up essentials. Great spot for families, and the home has plenty of games, puzzles, books, and toys that can be used during the stay. Overall, a great, quiet spot to get away, slow down, and relax.

Clean, comfortable, well-stocked and wonderful lakeside home

The house is recently renovated, with nice furniture and woodwork and a well-stocked kitchen. A big deck overlooks the lake (which is the Big Pond in Otis, not the Reservoir, so it's quieter, which we liked). Everything was clean and comfortable, check-in and check-out were easy and communication was smooth. The two upper bedrooms are separated by a curtain and don't have doors, so that works fine for a family but might not be great in all situations. However, it was all in all a great lakeside getaway.

Relaxing and perfect for girl’s weekend

The house was perfect for a relaxing weekend with the girls. There were six of us and everyone slept well. The king bed was shared by the deepest sleepers with no problem. The view was extraordinary and the weather cooperated giving a gorgeous sunrises. We slept well, ate well, and the living room couch was very cozy. Three of us even went kayaking but it was hard to get out because they dropped the water level of the lake. But we hiked through the neighborhood and thoroughly enjoyed each other’s company in this beautiful location. Christine checked in several times and was a communicative and gracious host.

Winter retreat

This is our second time staying here as we love being directly on the lake. It’s peaceful during winter time. We got to watch ice fishers and even got to skate for a little bit. We stayed during a rare time with negative temps reaching -17 degrees so we didn’t get out too much. The place is perfect to retreat and plenty of space. Kitchen fully equipped. The owners are lovely and quick to respond to any questions or issues you may have. My one piece of advice is if you are staying during the winter time and get a storm the roads are not sanded as it’s a private road. There are hills and it can get very icy. Luckily the owners were able to have the neighbor spread some sand so we could get out. Also, the driveway is steep so if older folks are staying that is something to be mindful of. You have to use a sled to transport your belongings to the house. Regardless we had a great stay and a beautiful view!
