Recent Family Short Break
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had the most amazing family holiday at this beautiful house in Wales! The home was spotless, spacious, and full of charm — with stunning views and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kids loved the outdoor space, and we all enjoyed cozy evenings in the grand family room. A perfect base to explore the Welsh countryside. We can’t wait to come back!

Cartrefle long weekend
We had an absolutely wonderful last minute break here.
Heather was very helpful and able to give local recommendations for restaurants and caterers.
The hot tub was perfect and we all enjoyed it.
The house itself is huge and easily accommodated our extended family of 3 generations. The photos don’t really do the space justice. Very comfortable beds, powerful showers, large, soft towels provided, all was clean and very well thought out.
The location is excellent, beautiful views across to the bridge, and a short stroll down to the shops, cafes and restaurants of Menai Bridge.
We hope to return one day, and would highly recommend to others, many thanks.

Stunning house with stunning views. The perfect trip!!
An absolutely magnificent stay at this property. The best one I have ever stayed in. The property is big, but cosy and comfortable, every bedroom is impeccable and the beds are comfortable with no expense spared. Kitchen is well equipped and functional. We were blessed with incredible weather meaning we could sit on the balcony and enjoy the views with every meal outside. A couple of teeny tiny things that didn’t effect our stay (such as cleaners forgetting to take their bag of linen), but owners were apologetic and helpful. Obviously the property is expensive, but for the size and quality it is totally justifiable. We would love to go again and we LOVED our stay. Thank you!

About the host
Hosted by HeatherT
Owner was born on the Isle of Anglesey , and was fortunate enough to be able to purchase Cartrefle 3 years ago. With a background in renovating property this Arts & Crafts home has been a pleasure to renovate to a high standard to welcome others to this beautiful part of the world.
Why they chose this property
Cartrefle feels exclusive and private, but also close to many amenities, and the amazing adventures and glorious Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty of Anglesey and the Eryri National Park on your doorstep. Cartrefle offers areas to gather inside and out across the 5 acres of land with your family and friends but also has enough nooks and spaces to have some quiet time alone to re charge, with maybe a stroll down the land to the Menai Straits against the backdrop of Menai Bridge and Yr Eryri Mountain Range beyond.
What makes this property unique
This property is unique as it is a few minutes walk from the popular town of Menai Bridge and its excellent restaurants, bars, shopping, waterside walks and boat trips, while still giving you complete space and privacy with your own garden, woodland & hot tub
