Memories are made here at our winery's guesthouse in the heart of wine country
Our charming 2-story cottage, built in 2005, sits in the middle of 38 acres of vineyard and farmland adjacent to the Hickory Creek Winery. The winemaker and owner offers this cottage solely for vacation and weekend rentals. Enjoy 360 degree views of rolling landscape while deer and pheasants bound through the fields. Evenings at the Hickory House are tranquil, with only the sounds of chirping crickets and frogs heard from the sunset facing deck off the west side of the house. On clear nights, stars abound thanks to our secluded location away from big city lights.
The property is one of the more alluring accommodations in Michigan Wine Country. The house was built in 2005 by an Australian who patterned it after his country's traditional Victorian Farmhouse. It features wide-plank wood floors, large windows, and interesting details throughout. From the house, you will see vineyards, hayfields, distant rolling hills, and a picturesque pond and wetland west of the property.
Two bedrooms are upstairs, one featuring a king bed, the other featuring a queen size sofa bed pullout. Full bathroom and shower upstairs and half bathroom on the main floor. Full sized kitchen fully equipped with dishes and cookware. Dish Network is provided, however there is no wifi on the property.
Children are most welcome, as are your dogs.

My husband and I spent our 10 year wedding anniversary at this lovely place. The home is on the same property as Hickory Creek Winery. It is also with 5-7 miles of many other fine wineries. The property is welcoming and comfortable. We had plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Very much enjoyed being submersed in wine country!

Utterly Fantastic
We already cannot wait to come back. The house is cozy and amazing and you feel welcomed from the first moment. Being all alone at night but with people during the day tasting was just what we needed. We would hang out during the day at the tasting center and then cook awesome dinners in the kitchen at night watching movie after movie. This was the perfect start to Fall and know this will be an amazing vacation next time as well. Thank you Adam for giving us this experience!

Quiet Luxury
Absolutely loved this cute and cozy guesthouse. Very well equipped kitchen, beautiful views of the country side, clean. But most of all is being able to sit and relax away from all of the awesome activities this area has to offer. Too many nearby wineries to choose from and when you come home you can stop for your final taste at Hickory Creek. Thank you to Adam and manager Jamie for a perfect girls trip away.

Great
The location was perfect for the events we were doing. Adam was extremely gracious. Other than spring forgetting to arrive on time, our stay was great. Hopefully next time we will be able to take advantage of the deck, grill, and fire pit. Mother Nature had a different agenda for us.
Thank you for everything.

It was beautiful. Extremely quiet, homey, and welcoming.
My girlfriend and I stayed at the guest house of Hickory Creek for our 4 year anniversary and absolutely loved it. It was our second year back to the winery and plan to turn it into a tradition. We brought our dog, Oso, and he had so much fun. There was an incredible amount of land that he was allowed to explore. There was also an incredible amount of good wine for us to drink while he did that. Our nights consisted of grilling on the back porch, making S’mores by the fire pit, then playing some board games and watching movies. I truly love this place and can’t wait to go back.

Fabulous getaway weekend
The house at Hickory Creek was the perfect getaway. It’s clean, well-equipped and comfortable. It had everything we needed, and beyond that it had great views and was perfectly located. Adam was a wonderful host. We very much appreciated the complimentary wine tasting and the conversation. Thank you so much Adam! We hope to be back again. Cheers! Mike and Kristy

Soccer Mom's Weekend
I rented this house to just getaway with a few of my close friends. We are all moms and extremely busy all the time. All we wanted to do this weekend was relax and enjoy each others company. This house was amazing. We went to wineries that were close, we sat and talked for hours and just enjoyed the scenery. We had no issues with the house and we are definitely going to return!!

AMAZING place for a getaway... a unique country guesthouse on a winery estate in wine country!
Our stay was wonderful! The house was absolutely perfect for what we were looking for and the vineyard/small lake views were stunning. Immaculately clean and super cozy in the cold Michigan winter. Nice touches by the owner, including books and games for us and the kids, DishNetwork satellite was available (we didn't need to use it), and there was even a waffle maker for our breakfast. We brought a lot of food to cook and even a cake mix to make with the kids. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the equipment and utensils we needed.
The bedrooms were very comfortable, including the pull-out sofa in the second bedroom. We awoke to 5 or 6 deer quietly scampering around in the vineyard.
The owner was very responsive to our information requests. Hard to believe he is new to VRBO!
We were very impressed with the property and will definitely come back to see what it is like in warmer weather!
