The Lake House ~On~ Sunset Path w/private beach access, pool, hot tub & WIFI

ATTENTION, ATTENTION RATES DETAIL: the instant quote feature on the set up of VRBO's website can be misleading at first glance. A maximum of 8 people are allowed on the property at any given time.

Off-season (Mid September-Late May) requires a minimum 2 night stay. Off-season '25/'26 rates are: $240/night for 2 people, plus $60 per each additional person whether they are day guests only or over night. Please be accurate with your group numbers in requesting a reservation as the owner will need to edit your quote to reflect the total head count prior to confirming.

Prime season (Late May-Mid September) requires a minimum stay of one week (7 nights). Weeks are Sunday to Sunday. The 2025 prime season weekly rate is: $3290, for up to 8 people. (The 2026 prime season weekly rate is $3395 for up to 8 people.)

Rates do not include 6% MI occupancy tax or a refundable security deposit (see VRBO at check out). Additional fee for dogs (maximum of 2) is $28 per dog, per day or $175 per dog, per week; inquire with owner on pet details and rules.

SPECIAL NOTE: A general liability waiver is required to be signed, prior to arrival. See waiver under "my attachments". Owner will also email one to you.

PROPERTY DETAIL: Welcome to the Lake House for every season! Nestled between poplar covered sand dunes, this contemporary 3 bedroom (sleeps up to 8) ranch style home offers a partial view of Lake Michigan and a striking panoramic view of North Grand Mere Lake. The home includes a short walk to a private sandy beach access on Lake Michigan and a (seasonal) wading stream. Among many amenities, WIFI is available, Roku TVs (remember to bring your log in accts to enjoy your favorite apps), gas fireplace, a private in ground swimming pool (closes Mid-September for the winter/opens in early May), 4-5-person hot tub (open year round), outdoor fire pit and large wrap-around deck. Come to enjoy serene views, beautiful snow falls, wildlife, endless sunsets, relaxing walks and a private sandy beach. If you like action, you're only 10 to 20 minutes away from the popular destination towns of St. Joseph and New Buffalo. We're located at exit 22, off of I-94. Stay at the Lake House for a week in the prime season or a minimum two-night getaway during the off-season and enjoy it all! The home was clean and welcoming. Access to a private beach cove made our trip truly special. The hot tub and fire pit made for cozy, cool evenings. The Lake House was a perfect spot for two couples to relax and recharge. It was only a quick jaunt to some excellent restaurants and wineries. Shelly was an amazing hostess.

This was an outstanding getaway palace packed inside a roomy lake house. 100% recommend. The property was clean, organized and easy to access. Property owners were great. The whole experience was a great reminder how beautiful our country still is.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and had plenty of storage for your luggage! We were able to very comfortably sleep 7 and greatly enjoyed the hot tub and porch area. Our kiddo LOVED the ping pong table and it was nice that there were two lounge areas for our larger group.

The home was one of the cleanest i have seen. They had music playing when it arrived, which made it so inviting. We enjoyed everything about the stay, the private beach was amazing, and communication with the owners was great! Would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the pool!

Relaxing stay for a couples get away!

We had a great time and had really responsive communication from the owner. The property was clean and smelled great! The walk to the beach was manageable and the owner came by when we checked in to show us how to get there which was helpful. Would definitely stay again!

It’s so hard to find places that allow pets. This house was perfect! Pool, private beach, and a great yard. The main floor does get hot during the day but the downstairs stays cool.

Beautiful home and spotlessly clean! We had a great time on our girls weekend, enjoying the quiet atmosphere, the spacious deck and the hot tub. Although it was too cold for the beach, we loved the view, the birds we heard and the wildlife we saw. Looking forward to coming again!

Peaceful, fun, and relaxing!

This is a property that is perfect for those that want to relax but also have trouble sitting still. There are so many things to do a short drive away but you don’t need to leave to have a great time. The pool and hot tub are great, the ping pong table is there for use and there are large windows so you can enjoy the outdoors without going there if that is your preference. We just had two people but I can see where having more guests with different needs would really thrive at this property. 10/10 - thank you for having us!

This house was amazing. Stayed there for our anniversary! Has everything you need to stay. Nice view of the duck lake behind house and then a fantastic view of Lake Michigan a short walk down to the beach. Love the hot tub and the pool but was to cold to go in pool. Shelly and Marc are excellent hosts. I would go back!

Perfect Getaway

The lake house was perfect for our anniversary weekend getaway. It was very clean, comfortable, and has an amazing view of Grand Mere Lake from the deck and while enjoying the hot tub. Super quiet neighborhood and an easy walk to private beach on Lake Michigan. The host was very kind, we are already planning to come back!

Amazing spot!

This is a great spot and we had an amazing time. This was a little out of our comfort zone as we usually go south for vacations but it was well worth it.From the time we booked we had great communications with the property owner. They had to stop by a couple of times for routine maintenance (mowing, pool cleaning, etc.). They was very up front and always worked around our schedule to accomplish this. The first day she stopped in to go over a few things and show us around which was nice.The neighborhood was secluded on a dead end road that only had a few houses at the end. This made it very private and quite. The outside area (pool, hot tub, fireplace, etc) was exceptional and very beautiful.

Beautiful Lake House

Beautiful well maintained lake house, clean, organized and a perfect location for a getaway! Lakeview home with inground pool, hot tub and fire pit in backyard! Lake Michigan private beach access is just 1 minute down the street! Enjoyed beautiful sunsets over Lake Michigan! Very relaxing and quiet neighborhood. Shelly was very sweet and helpful with all the questions we had. She was a great host and very responsive and we really enjoyed staying at her picture perfect lakeshouse!
