The Lake House ~On~ Sunset Path w/private beach access, pool, hot tub & WIFI

ATTENTION, ATTENTION RATES DETAIL: the instant quote feature on the set up of VRBO's website can be misleading at first glance. A maximum of 8 people are allowed on the property at any given time.

Off-season (Mid September-Late May) requires a minimum 2 night stay. Off-season 2026 rates are: $240/night for 2 people, plus $60 per each additional person whether they are day guests only or over night. Please be accurate with your group numbers in requesting a reservation as the owner will need to edit your quote to reflect the total head count prior to confirming. NOTE - During off-season, no refunds will be granted for lessening the confirmed reservation group size. However, additional guests (not exceeding 8 people total) will be allowed subject to advance approval of owner. (Contact owner directly for details.)

Prime season (Late May-Mid September) requires a minimum stay of one week (7 nights). Weeks are Sunday to Sunday. The 2026 prime season weekly rate is $3395 for up to 8 people. Also, we will not be accepting Prime season reservation requests for year 2027, until end of Prime season 2026. Please contact us then.

Rates do not include 6% MI occupancy tax or a refundable security deposit (see VRBO at check out). Additional fee for dogs (maximum of 2) is $28 per dog, per day or $175 per dog, per week; inquire with owner on pet details and rules.

SPECIAL NOTE: A general liability waiver is required to be signed, prior to arrival. See waiver under "my attachments". Owner will also email one to you.

PROPERTY DETAIL: Welcome to the Lake House for every season! Nestled between poplar covered sand dunes, this contemporary 3 bedroom (sleeps up to 8) ranch style home offers a partial view of Lake Michigan and a striking panoramic view of North Grand Mere Lake. The home includes a short walk to a private sandy beach access on Lake Michigan and a (seasonal) wading stream. Among many amenities, WIFI is available, Roku TVs (remember to bring your log in accts to enjoy your favorite apps), gas fireplace, a private in ground swimming pool (closes Mid-September for the winter/opens in early May), 4-5-person hot tub (open year round), outdoor fire pit and large wrap-around deck. Come to enjoy serene views, beautiful snow falls, wildlife, endless sunsets, relaxing walks and a private sandy beach. If you like action, you're only 10 to 20 minutes away from the popular destination towns of St. Joseph and New Buffalo. We're located at exit 22, off of I-94. Stay at the Lake House for a week in the prime season or a minimum two-night getaway during the off-season and enjoy it all! Very clean, well decorated, comfortable, spacious kitchen with plenty of cooking supplies and lots of counter space for cooking. Every time I stay there seems to be an additional update to something. There was a new brick fire pit and outdoor chairs this last time. The pool is excellent, refreshing just to look at! Close to different towns for shopping as well as a Meijer just around the corner

We spent 4 days/3 nights at Sunset Path. It was a warm, comfy and inviting get away.Beautiful views of one of the glacial lakes of Grand Mere State Park and easy access to a private sandy beach cove on Lake Michigan.Although the weather was chilly for enjoying the on-site pool, we enjoyed the Hot Tub!!The lodging was comfortable and well appointed from good cutlery and cooking utensils to TV, games and space to stretch out.This cottage had easy access to Harbor Country activities. We had a comfortable, relaxing springtime get away.Would highly recommend Sunset Path Cottage for a friends and family get away!

What an amazing weekend at The Lake House! A friend and I were able to sneak away for a girls weekend and this place couldn’t have been any better for it. Shelly was an amazing and super helpful host! She gave me a tour at check in and checked in on us several times during our stay. Check out was also easy with only quick tidying requested. The weather ended up being colder than expected, but the individual thermostats around the house kept it super cozy. It did make for PERFECT weather for the hot tub though and that was lovely. The private beach gave us two gorgeous sunsets (which Shelly so kindly updated us on sunset time) and the views from the backyard were so peaceful. I hope to get a chance to stay here in the summer, but we’d definitely stay here this time a year again too!

We had an awesome weekend trip at the Lake House. We loved sitting in the hot tub and enjoyed how relaxing and peaceful it was. The view from the deck was amazing and great for our morning coffee. The private beach on Lake Michigan was a short walk from the house, we were able to walk down and enjoyed watching the waves and sunset. The home was very clean and well appointed, the beds were very comfy. Shelly and Marc were very communicative and made sure we settled in and didn’t have any questions. I hope we can return and stay again soon!

This place was amazing for a winter get away! The hot tub was perfect and held the temp in the cold weather. It feels very homie in every room and very well redone. The individual heat in each room was a bonus for our group. The fireplace was perfect for the snowy weather. It was also very clean! Would stay again!

We had such a great stay. The place was super secluded and was a short walk to the beach. Beautiful view. The hot tub was great and easy to use. Kitchen had all the basics you’d need. About 5-15 min to any restaurants or downtown. Beds are also comfortable.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and had plenty of storage for your luggage! We were able to very comfortably sleep 7 and greatly enjoyed the hot tub and porch area. Our kiddo LOVED the ping pong table and it was nice that there were two lounge areas for our larger group.
