Home from home

Loved it,very very clean and peaceful , we looked too booknext year but noticed the price for the same week has jumped up a lot and I mean a lot , so we have booked elsewhere, but “ Bosuns cottage is fab”

We're sorry to hear you felt next year's prices had increased significantly. The equivalent week to your stay this year was actually booked some time ago, so it wasn't available to compare. We noticed you've booked the following week instead at another of our properties, which falls within the school holidays when prices are naturally higher due to increased demand. Another lovely stay at Bosums

This was our 3rd stay at Bosums and hopefully not the last! The cottage is extremely clean and comfortable with a lovely private garden which is totally secure for dogs. Location is great, just across from a very friendly pub and only minutes away from the chippy, Poppies Tea Room and the beach. Communication from the owner, prior to arrival is always very useful, with updates on any local roadworks. A fabulous welcome hamper is provided, with even some treats for the dog. Thank you, can’t wait to return next year.

Had an amazing week at bosuns cottage and Winterton-on-Sea, So peaceful and restful, the beach is amazing and had lots of lovely walks, Bosuns cottage has everything you will ever need for your holiday,and more, Have booked again for may next year, and that will be our third stay iat Bosuns cottage

Lovely stay

Cottage was fantastic. Everything you could possibly need and such a lovely location. My second visit to Winterton on Sea and wasn’t disappointed. Garden secure for dogs. Lovely dog friendly beach just a few minutes drive away. Poppy Tearoom in village is a must to visit.

Perfect cottage in an ideal coastal retreat

We love Winterton and have been coming for years. However, this was our introduction to Bosuns cottage and it has now become our go to place. The thatched cottage has lots of charm and has been refurbished internally to create a spacious and practical space. Fit out is to a high standard which is modern yet compliments the charm of the cottage. The owners were very helpful and provide everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The lawned, enclosed rear garden is a bonus which on sunny days is a real sun trap. The cottage is located centrally in the village with shop, pub, cafe all 5 mins away and the gorgeous beach a 20 mins stroll

Bosuns Cottage

Bosuns Cottage is in a central position in Winterton easily accessible with parking off road for 2 cars. We had 2 dogs and the secure garden was essential. The cottage was very well equipped, comfy and the welcome pack very generous. The garden had 4 relaxing chairs as well as a table and other seats with sun umbrella which came in useful as we had a week of sunshine We would return and would recommend to others.

Perfect

As you walk in the door Bosuns Cottage has an immediate homely feel to it. It is very light & airy with comfortable furnishings. The kitchen has everything you might need and is spotlessly clean. Position wise it’s ideal , walking distance to pub, shop, chippy and the beach. The owners were very helpful with arrival/departure. We loved this cottage and will be back.

Relaxing long weekend

This was my 2nd stay at Bosums cottage and have already booked for later in the year. Bosums is an extremely clean and comfy cottage in a great location - pub is across the road, chippy and Poppys only a couple of mins walk away and the path to the dunes/beach is 5 mins away. We had great weather during our stay so got to sit out in the lovely private garden. Great welcome pack.

The perfect stay!

What a gorgeous cottage in a perfect setting. The owners made our stay really easy from letting us know when the cottage was ready to even messaging to tell us we'd left something behind after our stay! A lovely welcome pack was left for us, which was a great touch! The cottage has everything you could need and is nicely set out, very comfortable! We would definitely stay here again! Winterton it self is a little gem! Great pub, fish n chip shop, little general stores, lovely tea room and the beach right on your doorstep! We had the perfect stay!

A beautiful, comfortable cottage in a lovely Norfolk village

We absolutely loved our stay in Bosun’s cottage and couldn’t fault it. Warm, clean and comfortable, the cottage was incredibly well equipped. Secure garden for our dog to sniff around and just a short walk to the sand dunes and beach. A reasonable pub in the village, good cafe and fish and chips meant we didn’t need to stray far. Other excellent pubs and walks within easy drive. A perfect place for break with the dog and we will return.

Beautiful Cosy Cottage

I have stayed in Winterton many times but Bosuns Cottage is one of the best cottages I have stayed in. The outside of the cottage is picture perfect and inside is spotlessly clean and cosy. Every detail has been thought of to make it a lovely restful stay. It is ideally situated within easy reach of the village shops and the cosy village pub which does fantastic food and has the added benefit of being dog friendly. It is also only a short walk to the beautiful sandy, dog friendly beach. Thank you for a truly lovely restful holiday.

Beautiful Bosuns Cottage

We had a lovely break at Bosuns cottage. Location is excellent, just minutes from the pub, Poppys and the beach. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, with everything you would need for your stay. We were very lucky with the weather so was able to make the most of the gorgeous garden, which had plenty of seating and totally safe for our dog. Communication with Ian, the owner, was excellent and the welcome pack was generous and very much appreciated. Hope to return very soon.

Beautiful cottage set in the heart of the village , close to all the amenities, 10mins walk to beach

Very homely and comfortable cottage. Well equipped kitchen, owner has thought of everything you could possibly need. We slept extremely well despite the heat . We had fantastic weather and we spent time in the beautiful dog proof enclosed garden before we went to the beach later in the day . We had a very lazy time just chilling out , it was too hot to do anything else . This is our third time to Winterton and we certainly will be coming back . One thing I would recommend is a sunset cruise from Horning on the Southern Comfort Mississippi boat, thoroughly enjoyed it and very good value. The Broads are worth visiting. Seal watching, beautiful beaches all round the Norfolk coast. Southwold is only an hours drive away. So many places to visit.

Excellent. Very well stocked with utensils etc. Good design particularly in the conversion of the old garage. Lovely garden. Hope it survives two dogs having fun! Comfortable bed. Will hopefully return.

Another Wonderful stay at Bosuns

Booking process was smooth. Cottages details sent electronically all very clear and user friendly. Superb location in the village yet a few minutes to the beach. Cottage is beautiful, well thought out. Everything detail thought about. Has all the facilities and home cooking equipment you need plus extras!! Lovely welcome pack even the dogs had a treat. Loved it and will be returning.

Beautiful Cottage

The cottage is well equipped and spacious. It's near to all amenities and just a few minutes walk from the Dunes and just 5 minutes from the beach. Will definitely be returning. Garden enclosed and not overlooked, dog friendly they loved it!!
