The Ocean is what makes this house location perfect. The home is very old and does need some love. Could have been cleaner and more supplied. Kitchen is sparse.

Girls weekend 2026 was a huge success at this wonderful property! We loved the history and the quirkiness of the house and the location was fantastic! Just a little hitch getting into the house, but VRBO helped us out and that was great! Gotta love a live voice on the other end of the phone! The house is super cozy with loads of great hang out spaces and just a short walk over the dune to the amazing beach! Would love to stay there again!

An unforgettable week in Gearhart! This home was clean, comfortable, and beautifully appointed, with everything we needed to settle in and enjoy our stay. Beach access was easy, making walks along the shore a lovely part of our week.The observation room was truly incredible. We spent hours there watching the ocean, enjoying the changing light and waves. One unforgettable morning, we were even treated to a pod of whales just offshore—a remarkable experience that made an already wonderful stay even more special.This was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Oregon coast. We would return in a heartbeat and wholeheartedly recommend it!

Such a nice feeling experiencing a getaway in a heritage home preserved over the years maintaining the charm of all that is Gearhart. The house was beautifully situated back from the ocean which gave us wonderful views and easy access to the beach. The house was spacious enough for the 9 of us to relax and do our own thing in comfort. We were able to explore the Oregon coast with Gearhart being a beautiful and convenient base.

We were able to see whales breaching from the back deck. It's an amazing low key place to spend time with family. We always love it.... The stove is a bit funky, and the bunk room really is better for those under 10. However, it is still a great family tradition to stay there.

We had a wonderful week in Gearhart. The moment you walk in and are greeted by the gorgeous Ocean Views, you know it's going to be a nice stay.We spent a lot of time in the Sun room and on the Porch, it was perfect out there from sunrise to sunset.The charm and history of this place is amazing. We would love to know more!

As always we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great beach walks in all sorts of weather from sunshine to gale force winds, then relaxing in front of a wood fire in the evenings.

Perfect beach property for a family holiday

A lovely old house with lots of character on the sandy Gearhart beach and close to the charming village. We have stayed here multiple times and hope to again. The owners are a pleasure to deal with.

The location to the beach was wonderful

Our family loved the location. We enjoyed the fireplace and big windows that brought in the light and allowed us to take in the view. Plenty of beds for the big group.
