Perfect Base in Central London

The house is perfectly located for exploring central London being in a charming Vistorian street with a pub at each end, one overlooking the Thames and the river skyline. The house itself is clean and well appointed and the host was very attentive and friendly. Just be aware that he lives in the house, but he’s very discreet and it was not an imposition at all.We really enjoyed living ‘like a local’ for a few days!

The flat was very clean and elegantly furnished, although a lot of stairs. The attic room with huge automatic skylight windows was fabulous. The hosts are very nice and eager to please. The arrangement is a bit odd, as the host family confines themselves to a small room on the third floor while the rest of the house is rented out. Rather expensive for not having the whole place. Our family of four was quite comfortable there, but note that there is only a single shower, so putting nine people in 3 bedrooms2 living rooms is asking a lot. The location was excellent - close to the Tate and other walkable destinations, as well as a Metro station.
