This is an ideal spot for a solo traveler to stay at since it’s so close to restaurants and mini markets, and within walking distance from the tapas & pinxtos spots and clubs in the neighboring Poble Sec neighborhood. The building is also shared with a hostel and local residents. Checking in was relatively easy: the host connected with me via WhatsApp and shared a lockbox code to retrieve my key, and he’s pretty responsive as long as you message him soon enough. The balcony is a sweet feature for starting your day with a coffee and fresh air, though the curtains don’t block all the natural light so it’s recommended to pack an eye mask. The fridge and microwave were really crucial since I like to bring back leftovers, and the kitchen in the common area was well-equipped.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
I chose this property because it was the cheapest space with a private bath. The room itself was good. Not luxurious, but for the price, it was perfect. The WiFi worked well! The manager, Stephen was generally very responsive and helpful. The host not so much, but finally the host gave me a way to talk with Stephen and he was great. On the not great side, the building itself is a wreck and had a bit of weird smell. And the neighborhood (a few feet from La Rambla) is noisier between midnight and 4am than during the day. I did not sleep all that well. They will provide you with a noise machine upon request and that helped a bit. Weirdly, when I asked for another roll of toilet paper, they said they do not provide extra toilet (which I thought was weird). Knowing what I know now, if price and having a private bath were important, I would stay there again!
