We strictly enforce our 2 agr group restriction. No teenagers, unless accompanied by adults, are allowed on the property. This booking was a deceptive attempt by their family adults and a man professing to be their coach, to leave unaccompanied teenagers at our property. Perhaps the teenagers had planned an event, a party that was disrupted by our vigilence. The booker. posing as a coach, booked for 110 other people, asking for early check in which we allowed. Four teenagers turned up at our house at around 3.30pm, without an adult. They walked to our property - no car, no luggage, just a backpacks. We tried to reach the booker on phone, but he declined our call. VRBO tried to reach him but he declined their call. We tried again, he did not pick up. It seemed that the vrbo account was handed over to one of the teenagers, who - fraudulently posing as the booker - wrote back that his mom was there, and he attempted to provide lousy explanations for the lack of car and lugggae. At one point, he said they had flown in directly from out of station and were travelling light (hence the bacpacks) and had arrived in a lyft. Cameras did not show any lyft vehicle. A 3 day visit by an out of station group without any luggage clearly alerted us to the possibility of a party by these teenagers. When asked for an id, by me, and by VRBO, it took them 3 hours or more to provide an id of a woman who was not the booker. We had no way of knowing whether the woman would be there, so we asked for physical verification. We were told that that we should call ahead much in advance, because his "mother" was there on business and had meetings to attend. Earlier they had booked under the pretext of an athletic attempt. Later at night, upon our protest at hosting teenagers, we were told that a car would arrive with the father. There were so many different stories, conflicing each other. These stories showed inconsistent facts. Stories that were made up as they went along. We would not host them again but we allowed them to stay on as the booking was only for 3 nights, and most of the time was spent on investigation and follow up. We even offered late checkout. The review provided by this person is retaliatory response to being caught violating our house rules, terms and policies. Dumping teenagers on the house and then follwoing the bait and switch tactics. The booker describes our home as "quaint," when anyone can see that out home is modern property. The review is entirely malicious, retaliatory response to being caught violating our terms and conditions. I would not to host these offenders again.
