The house is absolutely beautiful!! The hosts thought of every detail. It was super clean! Tons of beautiful space and the location was great for hiking at the dunes or shopping in nearby towns. Nice local eateries as well:)
We had a great stay, It was wonderful to be able to spread out and all the bathrooms were a luxury. Parking and check in was super easy. The host was wonderful! The house was interesting and unique.
This property is in an ideal location. It’s close to everything! We enjoy it so much that we’ve stayed there multiple times and each time we learn more about the area such as we were able to walk 5 minutes to a wonderful restaurant downtown. The house is in remarkable shape for its age and is very user friendly. The amount of space is amazing and the porch is perfect for morning coffee! I would recommend it it to anyone.
We loved this house! The beds are comfortable, linens are perfection, lots of fluffy towels, and a cute porch off the house to read with the windows open. The house was super clean! Location is close to lots of things, including a coffee shop right around the corner. Katie was super easy to work with. We had a good time!
Walking distance to shopping, restaurants — even decent walking distance to zoo and beach. Nice sized property. Bathrooms for every bedroom is great - just heads up, only one regular shower for the whole house. Loved the screened porch for morning coffee.

Each bathroom has a tub with upstairs having built in seating with European style sprayers .
We joined two other couples for a reunion at this charming century home. It was very clean and has several seating areas with very comfortable furniture. The house is in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of parking on the street right in front of the house. The beds were comfortable. The description lets you know that each ensuite bathroom has a bathtub with jets. However, be aware that only the downstairs bathroom has a stand-up shower. All upstairs bathrooms (including the master suite) have a large jacuzzi tub with only a hand held-sprayer and no shower curtain. Also, we think calling it "walking distance" from the beach is misleading. The Parsonage is more than a mile from the beach.

We would never “mislead” anyone. The property is 0.9 miles to the beach. Given that people bring lots of stuff we never would suggest carrying chairs, cooler etc. IF people want to take a walk to the beach, harbor and lighthouse it is definitely and easily walkable.
Thanks the for your review.
The parsonage is a lovely historic home that makes you feel like you have stepped back in time, while providing all the comforts of modern life. It was perfect for our girls trip and the location, while very peaceful and quiet, was within walking distance to the beach, museums, downtown and more. We loved it!
Beautiful historic house & convenient proximity to the national park. We especially appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and children's toys and books!
Wonderful piece of property with lots of rich history property was exactly as described. They had a wonderful time. My family and I going to the beach and relaxing at the house would recommend and go again.

Thank you for your nice review! Glad you enjoyed your time.
This place is perfect for an extended family vacation. There were a lot of great paintings & old things for decorations. There was a nice library in the master bedroom and books in the other bedrooms. There were toys & books for the 4 year old. The location is great also.
This Historic Parsonage Home is a beautiful old home, with hardwood floors, a lovely staircase and tastefully decorated! Katie and Joe were great hosts, even leaving us pastries for breakfast, much appreciated! especially with our late arrival. We blew a fuse Sunday morning - not unusual for an old historic home - and Joe was there within minutes to fix it. I would highly recommend the Historical Home for anyone wanting to stay in the Indiana Dunes area, just on the edge of the National Park and an easy drive to gorgeous hiking areas and several beaches. The home was just down the block from an outlet shopping area, and a few blocks walk to the Michigan City Beach. Also close to some quaint restaurants, and shops. We loved having 4 bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom, and 5 separate beds with none being bunkbeds. Perfect for our 5 girlfriends' getaway! Best part of the house was the enclosed sunroom, perfect for enjoying morning breakfast.
The house was indeed a wonderfully interesting place and so clean! The hostess was delightful in communication and very helpful. I would indeed stay here again!
Home was fantastic! It was perfect for our girls trip. Location was great and easily walkable to the outlet mall, farmers market, and several restaurants/coffee shops. We loved our stay!

It was a pleasure hosting your group. Thank you for your kind words.
Wonderful property and host. Close to lots of things downtown. Beautiful walk to Lake Michigan and breweries. Each room has its own bathroom which made it a great place to stay with friends. Welcome touches and quick response from host were the icing on the cake. Would definitely recommend!
The check in was nice and easy. We checked in early and went to Washington Beach for the day. We took a ride to the Heston Steam Engine Museum and rode the steam engine. Ate lunch at Redamark in New Buffalo, Michigan. Great food. A little crowded on a Saturday. Then went to Sheridan Beach for the day. Another great beach day. Some did a little shopping at the Outlet Mall and spent another day at Washington Beach. Both beaches are nice but they do get crowded. The home is fully equipped with whatever you need. Great stay.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay- amazing historic home in a great location. We were there for a family reunion and The Paraonage was close to everything we did. House was so clean, comfortable, well stocked, and had a toy closet that our 4 year old granddaughter enjoyed. Lakeshore coffee house and Chickpea Mediterranean restaurant were just down the alley. Both excellent and we highly recommend. Katie was great and easy to work with. Would definitely stay there again.
We had such a wonderful stay in this charming historic home right in the heart of Michigan City! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how warm, clean, peaceful, and welcoming everything felt. The house is full of character and history, yet thoughtfully updated to feel incredibly cozy and comfortable. Every detail, from the beautifully maintained decor to the spotless rooms, made it feel like a true home away from home for our entire family (5kids ranging from 14yo to 9mo). You can tell the owners have poured love and care into every inch of this property. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and make memories. Highly recommend!

Aw, thank you so much. Glad you all had a nice time visiting The Parsonage! Please come back again!
Amazingly convenient location in multiple ways. Short trip to New Buffalo train station and ample free street parking made it easy for our family from Madison, Chicago, and Ann Arbor to meet. Once we arrived, we could walk to beach, many restaurants, and outlet mall easily. Also a quick commute to see the White Sox play.
Absolutely loved our stay at this property!! It was very clean and accommodating!! The host was very easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend!!
This property is outstanding. You can’t beat the location along with the amount of space you have to use. This is our 2nd year staying there and we’re booking it again next year. It’s super

Thank you, Angela! We look forward to welcoming you back!
I cannot give 10 stars or I would. Katie was a dream...flexible, communicative and beyond friendly. We stayed with family to be close to our daughter's wedding venue, Friendship Botanic Gardens. If I had more time at the moment I would write more, all praise for the wonderful experience. The house is beautiful, warm and welcoming. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay!
