Huntingstile South nr Grasmere, Cumbria, sleeps two people in four bedrooms.
Huntingstile South consists of a kitchen with electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher, a utility with washing machine and tumble dryer, a dining area, a sitting room with woodburning stove and books, another sitting room with woodburning stove and TV, a sitting area, and a cloakroom with basin and WC. The bedrooms consist of a super-king-size with en-suite walk-in shower, super-king-size, king-size, and twin. There is a shower room with walk-in shower, basin, and WC. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Outside, there is an enclosed wraparound garden with furniture and private driveway parking for four cars. One well-behaved pet welcome, but sorry, no smoking. Enjoy serene lake views at Huntingstile South. Note: Starter pack for woodburning stove available to purchase locally.

One well-behaved pet welcome with agreement that dog is kept downstairs, off furniture and accompanied at all times, a second dog can be allowed by prior arrangement, please enquire. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1.1 miles, pub 0.8 miles, lake 0.1 miles. Note: The garden is enclosed from the road however as the property is part of a larger separate house, the gardens wrap-around both Huntingstile South and the neighbouring property, so guests will need to please be careful yo use their side of the gardens only. Note: There is a stream that runs directly through the property and some low walls with sheer drops, please do not leave children or pets unattended. Note: There are some stone steps and bridges outside that become slippery when wet, please take care.

Any visit to Grasmere needs to include The Grasmere Gingerbread shop, where the Wilson family has been making gingerbread for over 60 years. Also in the village are a number of shops, pubs, a church which dates back to the 13th century, and Grasmere Lake. Grasmere Sports takes place every August, where you can watch participants compete in a variety of sports, including Cumberland wrestling. Just five miles away is the town of Ambleside and Lake Winderemere where you will find shops, pubs, restaurants and the 17th century Bridge House, which is one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District. Cruises, boat trips and watersports can all be enjoyed on Lake Windermere, and the towns of Windermere and Keswick are also within driving distance. Grasmere is a wonderful base for your Lake District retreat.
