About this property

Manifold Cottage - Central and Cosy

Manifold Cottage is a charming 1-bedroom retreat (Sleeps 2) in the historic village of Hartington. Perfect for hikers, we are 250m from the famous Cheese Shop & local pubs. Unique for a smaller cottage, you get exclusive access to our Shared Games Room (Pool, Air Hockey, Table Football). Features a cosy lounge with electric log-effect fire, fully equipped kitchen, and courtyard parking. The ultimate `Walker`s Sanctuary` in the White Peak. Pet friendly!

A Cosy Hartington Hideaway Nestled in a quiet courtyard in the picturesque village of Hartington, Manifold Cottage is designed for couples or solo travellers seeking a peaceful escape. We are the perfect base for exploring the Dales of the River Dove.

LIVING & EATING

The Lounge: Relax after a long walk in front of the log-effect electric fire (instant heat without the fuss of lighting a real fire!).

The Kitchen: Surprisingly spacious for a 1-bed, featuring an electric oven, dishwasher and fridge with ice compartment.

Dining: A dedicated dining table for two.

SLEEPING & BATHING

Bedroom: A comfortable super king bedroom designed for a restful night’s sleep.

Bathroom: Features a bath with a shower over it, ideal for soaking tired muscles after a day on the Tissington Trail.

THE `RESORT` EXTRAS Unlike most small cottages, you have access to our Shared Courtyard Facilities:

The Games Room: A huge bonus! Challenge your partner to Pool, Table Tennis, Air Hockey, or Table Football. Includes a Smart TV.

Laundry: Access to a shared utility room with tumble dryer.

Guest Access

Parking: Allocated parking for 1 car within the courtyard.

Check-In: Secure key safe for flexible arrival.

Local Tips: Our digital guidebook includes the best walking routes starting from your doorstep (like Wolfscote Dale).

Managed by Peak Cottage Collection, we are local and on hand if needed.

The Neighbourhood Hartington is the `Jewel of the White Peak.`

Food: You are steps away from the Old Cheese Shop, the farm shop, and two excellent pubs (The Devonshire Arms & The Charles Cotton).

History: Explore the village duck pond and historic limestone buildings.

Getting Around

Walk: You can walk to Beresford Dale and Wolfscote Dale directly from the front door.

Cycle: The Tissington Trail is nearby for cyclists.

Other Things to Note:

Pets: 2 dogs allowed

Connectivity: Smart TV with Netflix provided. WiFi is generally good, but mobile signal can be patchy in the deep dales.

A lovely warm cosy cottage, one of 3 tucked away off road with safe private parking. Great for doorstep walks, pubs, tea rooms, novelty shops and a fish & chip wagon every Friday evening. The house was spotlessly clean, warm with a wonderful kingsize bed to rest the weary bones after a days walking and thirst quenching. My sincere thanks to owner Henry who, via a few standout pointers, clearly has his customers wellbeing at heart. We're no strangers to Hartington and will be back.
