Two Chimneys - sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms
Downstairs is the warm and welcoming living room with comfortable seating for 6, a new wood burner (2025), smart TV and DVD player for entertainment. The spacious dining room has a table to seat 6 people and a DAB+ radio/bluetooth speaker, as well as a selection of books, maps and games to enjoy. Wi-Fi is complimentary. The modern kitchen is well equipped with plenty of crockery and cookware for self-catering. The utility room has a freezer, washing machine and separate dryer as well as ample space for coats and boots, and there is also a separate toilet with wash basin and heated towel rail.
Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and, new for 2026, two modern bath/shower rooms (photos will be updated following refurbishments in November). The main bedroom is at the back of the house with views over the rooftops towards Walla Crag and Catbells. It has a king size bed and wall-mounted TV/DVD. At the front of the house there is a twin room and a room with bunk beds. The front bedrooms have views towards Latrigg and the Skiddaw range. Each bedroom will be presented with luxury white bed linen and towels.
When staying at Two Chimneys you are near the heart of the popular Lakeside Town of Keswick, with a huge selection of independent shops, pubs, restaurants and the twice-weekly market, as well as within easy reach of many walking routes for those looking to tick some Wainwrights off their list. Fitz Park is nearby for those travelling with their canine companion. Within the vicinity you will find many areas of interest, both historically and for nature/outdoor lovers. The ‘Twa Dogs Inn', serving food, is only 200 metres away. There is a shop at the nearby petrol station which is open late and stocks all the essentials, including logs for the wood burner. Bassenthwaite lies to the north, where you will find the popular Lake Nature Reserve, providing walks with incredible views of Lakeland landscapes, followed by the possibilities of a pub lunch and a stroll around the quaint village. Ullswater is another nearby attraction surrounded by mountains, where you can enjoy a lake cruise, hire a boat or take a guided walk. For a variety of cafes, pubs, restaurants and shops, head to Cockermouth, a popular nearby market town, with plenty of history to discover, such as its medieval Castle.
There is an abundance of choice when it comes to walking routes, or why not bring your bike with you to see even more of this beautiful area with pedal power. There is a large, lockable shed for storing bikes, which also houses a table football game for rainy days and some extra garden furniture.
The pretty garden, with patio and picnic bench, is the perfect place to relax on those sunny days. Please note that the neighbouring 3 houses have a right of access through the garden to reach the back of their houses.
Guests will not need to worry about where to park, the cottage has private parking on the driveway for 1-2 cars is at the side of the house, with easy access through the kitchen entrance for unloading luggage. There is also space for one car in front of the house.
