Nestled along the North Downs Way in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Staddle Stones is a newly built, beautifully appointed bungalow featuring original and rustic characteristics. You will be based on a working farm with walkable access to the many footpaths and viewpoints that crisscross the stunning Kent countryside, finding a few local pubs along the way! We are lucky enough to be within driving distance of many special attractions such as Leeds Castle, Canterbury, and the Kent coast.
Step outside the door and be greeted with three friendly ponies, as well as sheep and cows in the surrounding fields. Careful where you step, as there might be some chickens and ducks scavenging for worms right by your door! If you want to be fully immersed in country life, this is the place for you!
The bungalow has an open plan kitchen/diner/living room with a beautiful skylight, offering an abundance of natural light. Coupled with the patio doors leading to your little garden, enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace.
The two well-appointed double ensuite bedrooms feature everything you need for a comfortable stay, a real home away from home. All furniture and upholstery is brand new and freshly installed.
The kitchen is suitably equipped with all the appliances and utensils required including oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. You will find plenty of cutlery, crockery and kitchen tools in the drawers for a relaxed stay in our little slice of heaven.
There is space for one car right outside the door, please message me if you require additional parking spaces.
When opening the patio doors, please use the hook available so the doors to swing shut and break the glass.
There are two local pubs approx 1 mile away, walkable or drivable depending on your preference. There are many footpaths as well as the Hucking Estate with an abundance of trails to choose from.
We are across the road from the Kent County Showground which hosts many events throughout the year. You can either walk to the grounds or drive, up to you!
We are also within driving distance (approx 10mins) of Leeds Castle, the most beautiful castle in the world, an excellent day out for adults and children alike. We highly recommend a visit to this historic palace which was once visited by Henry VIII.
We are approx 35min drive away from historic Canterbury, a must visit for any tourist to Kent. You can also catch the train from our local village station, about a 5 minute drive from the property.
The Kent coast is approx a 40 minute drive (or train ride) and there are numerous sandy beaches along the way.
Historic Rochester is within a 15 minute drive and is a beautiful town with a stunning high street, excellent eateries and great shopping. Many events are hosted here throughout the year, including a very festive Christmas Market.
Or we are about an hour's train ride from central London, you can either catch a direct train from Bearsted or Sittingbourne into several central London stations.
Unfortunately, the property is not dog friendly.
You have use of the entire property and garden. For your own safety, we ask that you do not wander around the farm as we have animals and heavy machinery working around the clock.
