About this property

Stylish Salcombe House, Walk to Beach & Town, Dogs, Garden, 2 Parking, Sleeps 6

Welcome to a calm, spacious family home with countryside views, a fully enclosed dog-friendly garden, and warm underfloor heating throughout. With three bedrooms sleeping six, two bathrooms plus a downstairs WC, and a dedicated home office, it suits families, couples travelling together, and remote workers alike.

THE LOFT SUITE (TOP FLOOR)
Often our guests' favourite room, the loft is the quietest spot in the house. A plush king bed sits beneath twin Velux windows that frame rolling countryside and evening sunsets. It has its own en-suite shower room and WC, plus separate heating controls so you can set the temperature just how you like it.

BEDROOMS, OFFICE AND FAMILY BATHROOM (FIRST FLOOR)
Two generous twin bedrooms each have two single beds, a smart TV, and plenty of storage. One overlooks the garden and the other looks out over open countryside. The layout works well for children, a second couple, or friends. A full family bathroom serves this floor.

Need to work? A private home office with a door that closes and fast fibre broadband gives you a proper, quiet workspace.

LIVING, DINING AND KITCHEN (GROUND FLOOR)
The open-plan living and dining area seats eight and centres on a log burner and a 50" smart TV, ideal for cosy evenings in. The fully equipped kitchen has high-end appliances and an American-style fridge-freezer, with room to cook proper family meals. A separate utility and laundry room handles sandy towels and muddy paws, and there's a handy downstairs WC.

WARMTH AND COMFORT
Underfloor heating runs through the house, so floors are warm on winter mornings with no chilly corners. The loft suite has its own fast-heating radiator, and an efficient combi boiler provides plenty of hot water for back-to-back showers.

OUTDOORS, ALL YEAR ROUND
The private, fully enclosed garden is safe for children and off-lead dogs, with outdoor seating and a BBQ. In summer, throw open the doors, fire up the grill, and enjoy a glass of wine as the sun goes down. In winter, come back from a quiet coast path walk to warm floors and the log burner crackling by four o'clock.

We had a fab week in Salcombe, the property has everything you need to make you feel at home. The home office is a bonus if you need to work whilst staying. Seb was really responsive and helpful if we had any questions, thank you! We’ll definitely look to stay again in the future.

A fab property in Salcombe. Well equipped kitchen and laundry room. A comfy lounge, great dining table with plenty of chairs. Every bedroom had great beds and nice linen. We had a great time and hope to return sometime. A great location for a 15 min walk into town, but be prepared for the hill on the way back! 😂 We had a fab weekend and loved it.

About the host

I've visited Salcombe with my family my whole life, and it's always been my happy place. This house is my two-year labour of love: a complete refurbishment, brought to life with plenty of blood, sweat, and tears. I've poured everything I love about Salcombe into it, and I'm so happy to be able to share it with you. If you'd like any local tips, from the best beaches to where to eat, just ask. I'd love to help you have a perfect stay.

Why they chose this property

Salcombe has been my family's favourite place for as long as I can remember, so when the chance came to own a home here, I couldn't let it go. What drew me to this house was the rare combination of being able to walk to the beach and town while still having peaceful countryside views, a private garden, and parking for two cars. It had real potential, and after two years of refurbishment, it's become exactly the kind of home I always wanted to stay in: comfortable, welcoming, and just as lovely in winter as in summer.

What makes this property unique

A rare find in Salcombe: a freshly refurbished family home within walking distance of the beach and town, with private parking for two cars and a fully enclosed garden. In a town where parking is famously hard to come by, you can arrive, park up, and leave the car behind for your whole stay, strolling down to the waterfront for breakfast or the beach for the afternoon.
The house is the result of a two-year labour of love, refurbished from top to bottom with comfort and quality in mind. At the very top sits the loft suite, the room guests fall for first. A plush king bed rests beneath twin Velux windows framing rolling countryside and evening sunsets, with its own en-suite shower room and separate heating control for a truly peaceful night's sleep.
Below, two generous twin bedrooms with smart TVs make the layout wonderfully flexible for families, two couples, or friends, while a private home office with fast fibre broadband means you can extend your stay and still work in comfort.
This is a home built for every season. Underfloor heating runs throughout, so floors are warm on winter mornings, and the log burner makes the open-plan living and dining area the perfect place to gather after a coast path walk. In summer, open the doors onto the garden, fire up the BBQ, and enjoy a glass of wine as the sun goes down.
Dogs are genuinely welcome here, not just tolerated. The enclosed garden is safe for off-lead pups and little ones, and the utility room is ready for sandy towels and muddy paws, so coming home from the beach is easy.
Most of all, this house is filled with a lifelong love of Salcombe, and I'm always happy to share local tips to help make your stay special.
