This was the perfect location. Just walking distance to the beach and wonderful restaurants. The neighborhood was lovely and quiet.Would definitely stay again. Fireplace was bonus. Parking was a bit of a bother at times.
Location was fantastic with view of ocean. Excellent walking trails all over and proximity to the Wharf area was convenient. Pacific Grove area had many walkable restaurants and shops. Parking was a challenge on one way street but we managed. Neighbors were very friendly and chatty .

Cozy Stay with Sisters
This was a second time staying at Sweet Pea Cottage and we loved it! The cottage is so cute and in the perfect location. We walked to the coast and to the shops and restaurants. We are 3 sisters and were visiting relatives in the area. There was plenty of space for us, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen met our needs. We loved sitting by the fireplace in the morning and at night, catching up with each other. We are looking forward to our stay next year.
Sweet Pea is a perfect little house for 2+ . We truly enjoyed our stay, especially the close proximity to the beach. Bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms are clean. The window sills could use some cleaning and the kitchen table is beyond sticky, it could probably use a new coat of sealant. The back garden area doesn’t reflect the pictures and the fireplace doesn’t work.
For the price we paid, we expected a bit more.

Cozy and Convenient
The size was perfect for my 2 adult daughters and I. The beds were comfortable. We could walk to Lovers Point and to restaurants. It was charming.
My two girlfriends and I had a great stay at Sweet Pea. We loved the neighborhood and that the house is within walking distance to the beach and dining. The house had everything we needed and was exactly as described/depicted.
This is very cute little house in a great location! It is very clean. The neighbors are very friendly and helpful. The management is responsive. Walk the neighborhood and find history around every corner!
We are a family of four, with a 6yo and an infant. This house was perfect for our needs. It was really cozy and peaceful. We appreciated having a full bathroom on each floor. The location was perfect, and we didn’t drive all weekend except the 5 minutes to get to the aquarium. The beach, cafes, restaurants, and a great market are all 2-4 blocks away. The house is outdated, which I was worried about from the listing, but it wasn’t really an issue because the house was so clean and well maintained.
I took 2 of my granddaughters to visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium. This cute little house has lots of personality and quirks and we loved it. So much better than a hotel room. My younger grand fell in love with her "fluffy soft" bed and they enjoyed having the privacy of the entire 2nd floor. So did I. I had to remember how to parallel park. I think it's been 30 years since I had to do that. Staff very helpful too.
The house is an adorable tiny Victorian. The location is amazing. You can walk everywhere. The only thing I would recommend is more blankets. A throw on the sofa would be nice. However, we were fine without them or we would have asked for them.

Great stay
Lovely stay at Sweet Pea - a splendid bungalow with a great view of the bay over Lover’s Point. We had a great time here. Management was very responsive to questions as well.
Such a lovely charming place! Loved the lavender in the front garden. Full washer and dryer at back of house was very convenient. Made use of well equipped kitchen. Location is great making for easy walking to restaurants, Lover's Point and the Monterey walkway. Highly recommend.

An okay stay
Overall the property is clean and fairly cute. It is old and has not been updated so floors are slanty, windows are weathered with peeling paint and layout is SO ODD with the bathroom door right next to the stove in the kitchen. And it’s tiny. I actually nicknamed it “The Mouse House.” But the price was reasonable for the area. We did love that there were 2 full bathrooms though.
I felt we needed more towels (6 bath towels for 4 people for 4 days) as we don’t want to spend time doing laundry. Upstairs remote batteries were dead, and the grill had no propane. We had a planned pre-race dinner with 7 people and that was a real irritant as I even mentioned it days before we arrived. Never got a reply back from property manager about it. There wasn’t a single platter for serving a meal. Not enough kitchen utensils (big spoons, forks, a cheese grater, serving bowls). These are the basics.
Overall, a reasonably priced place in a great location but lacking in the details.
We drove to Sweet Pea, parked right in front of the house, and walked everywhere (including the Aquarium). The accommodations were spotless, we had everything we needed to prepare meals, and we slept soundly. During some windy periods the screens rattled a wee bit, but those were the only interruptions to our serenity. We would definitely return.

Sweet Pea
Perfect location, 5 minute walk to the water and restaurants, stores, and bars. Fully equipped kitchen (cutting board and full size baking sheet would be a nice addition, but we’re cooks!) Beds were comfortable. Upstairs bathroom was doable, but some type of shower curtain addition would be perfect. Parking was never a problem. Neighbors were fantastic with numerous suggestions about the area.
This bungalow was perfect for the 4 of us gals! The location was wonderful. We had so much fun in Pacific Grove and the surrounding area. It was a delight to come back “home” each evening!
the house needs a lot of work, the front door has a gap between the door and the door jamb, the door bangs when its windy and cold air blows in. The heater didn't start twice and the fireplace frequently sidn't start. the heater is at the bottom of the stairs so the heat goes upstairs. The kitchen table is sticky and wiping it doesn'ytfix the problem. The dishwasher door is so tight I couldn'tt close it. the windows have cracked paint and the window sills outside are filthy. In short it was not what I expected for what I paid
