Looking for an escape with access to gorgeous beaches and beautiful forests? Or, if you prefer, walking distance to a cute downtown with lots of shops and restaurants?

Beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath home located in a quiet neighborhood within 4-5 blocks of 2 beaches! Carmel River State Beach and Carmel City Beach.

The kitchen, living room and dining area are spacious and comfortable for small gatherings of family or friends.

Your home away from home, enjoy the outdoor patio, cook up dinner in the kitchen or on the BBQ, and dine outside by the gas heater. And as the evening cools, snuggle up with your favorite novel as you light up the gas fire pit, or enjoy one of your favorite movies on the flat screen HD TV from our movie collection, or play one of your own on our Blueray DVD player. Comcast adds 140 channels and wifi is also provided.

If you want to get out ... dine at the famous former mayor's 'Mission Ranch' just 3 blocks away. Visit the galleries, shops and restaurants in 'Carmel By The Sea' - just under a mile and easily walkable through the beautiful unique Carmel neighborhoods. Visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium or golf at one of the 18 courses on the Monterey Peninsula.

If you'd rather enjoy nature ... drive through the Del Monte Forest or head south to Point Lobos State Park and Big Sur. So many places to hike and beaches to explore! Rent bikes (or e-bikes!) and cycle along the coast from Monterey, past Lover's Point, to Pebble Beach. Avid cyclers can also cycle north past numerous sand dunes on a coastal bike path. Paddle kayaks on the Monterey Bay, at Lover's Point, or up the coast at Moss Landing.

And at the end of the day, enjoy an outdoor happy hour at Folklore Winery up Carmel Valley Rd, enjoy 3-5:00 PM 'Grazings' at Mission Ranch, or take happy hour to the beach ... with chairs, your beverage of choice, and snacks to watch the sun set over the water.

Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, you will have complete quiet and privacy. (There is a guest unit behind the main house that we use. The units are completely separate and private.)

So close to the ocean, you can hear the surf at night!

The kitchen was well set up with everything that we needed, and all was labeled well. The home is beautiful and comfortable. The only thing we didn't like was skylights in the bedrooms, which made for too much light to sleep well.

Peaceful retreat

This home was absolutely perfect for our trip! The location couldn’t have been better. It was just a short walk to the beach and minutes from Carmel-by-the-Sea and Mission Ranch. The house was spotless and beautifully maintained, with a peaceful garden patio that we loved spending time in. The hosts were responsive, thoughtful, and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a truly magical stay, we’d come back in a heartbeat!

Lovely Home

Beach Walk is a lovely home, bright and welcoming no matter the weather, and has every modern amenity one could want. Extremely well set up and organized. Walk to the Carmel Mission Ranch for a fabulous dinner and two beaches close by. Thank you Sandy. We loved staying here.

Place was clean and comfortable. A short walk to the beach and a quick drive to the center of town. We spent most of our time outdoors so was only home in the evening. Easy check in and checkout … I appreciated the Happy Anniversary balloons that the owner had left for us. Thank you!

Wonderful, quiet cottage near the beach

This was one of the best short-term rentals I have ever experienced. Spotless, superbly decorated, equipped with anything one can possibly need for the stay. Well stocked modern kitchen. Comfortable beds. The owners are extremely responsive and easy to communicate with. 10 minute walk to the beach. Lovely place!

We had the best time at Alec and Sandy’s place. It was very clean and well stocked with everything you’d possibly need and then some. From board games to movies to kids toys. The location is absolutely perfect. Kitchen is well stocked if you plan on cooking. Cozy, quiet, highly recommended!

Lovely neighborhood

The location was in a quiet neighborhood but there was repairs being done to the street and there was a noisy dog next door. The master bedroom was nice but the second bedroom was so so. The main bathroom was functional but had poor lighting and an awkward door handle. The wi-fi continuously dropped its signal which made using it a pain. Aside from that the accommodation was lovely.

Better than expected

I thought it would be great but it surpassed my expectations. Private, but lots of openers to the outside and light. Loved the heated floors. We took lots of walks on the beach. Enjoyed the gas fireplace whenever we were in the living room. I hope we will return some time.

Delightful Home With great Amenities

BeachWalk is beautiful and well-kept in an excellent location. The furnishing are in excellent condition and very comfortable. We loved the large windows looking out on the patio with a large table, comfortable chairs, a cozy fire pit, and gas heater. The bathrooms were large, clean and well-equipped. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The house is a short walk to the ocean and downtown Carmel is about a 20 minute walk. the hosts are local and attentive, and offered good suggestions for our stay. We could not have been happier and would love to return.

Carmel/Pebble Beach Visit

The place is lovely! It was a perfect place for my family. I was traveling with my son, who was working the ATTProAm, and my elderly Mother. The place had everything we needed, and then some! We were so close to everything in Carmel, Pebble Beach, Monterey, and Big Sur. It is about a 5 minute walk to both beaches in Carmel, and also Mission Ranch. During the last day of our trip, there was some pretty severe weather that came through the Monterey Peninsula (hurricane force winds). Sandy and Alex were great to check on us and make sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again! And highly recommend Sandy and Alex as hosts. :-)

We had such a wonderful, relaxing stay in this beautiful cottage home that is in a cozy and quiet neighborhood with arts and crafts styled individual homes. The beautiful downtown Carmel area with delicious savory and sweet finds is walkable as well as the beach. This location is ideal to visit the ocean and small art community of Carmel as well as being a quick drive to Big Sur or Monterray Bay. The owner makes you feel welcome and at home providing favorite walks and sites to see in the area.

We gravitate to the ocean and beaches. Having made frequent trips to Monterey and Carmel over the years, we recently decided to move to the coast. Our dogs love walking on the two beautiful beaches! And within walking distance of downtown Carmel, the shops, the restaurants ....

What makes this property unique

Two rather different beaches to walk to: The long main, gently sloping Carmel city beach, and the changeable, more steep and wild Carmel River State beach with its inner quiet river front and meadow.
