Located on the West Highlands of Scotland Castle Cottage 2 is a single storey semi-detached cottage overlooking the mouth of the River Aline below Kinlochaline Castle. Situated on the stunning West Coast of Scotland, Ardtornish Estate is located on the shores of Lochaline on the Morvern peninsula. The perfect family holiday.
Castle Cottage 2 has a traditional sitting room with a log burner and bay window overlooking the garden and Loch. It’s the perfect space for sitting with a cup of tea at night and waiting for the resident Pine Martens. Guests are provided with a pack of kindling & logs for their stay and more can be purchased at the Gift Shop.
Charming interiors: Thoughtfully decorated, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Living space: A traditional sitting room with a log burner and bay window overlooking the garden and Loch - ideal for cosy evenings in. It’s the perfect space for sitting with a cup of tea at night and waiting for the resident Pine Martens. Dining: Perfect for family meals or relaxed dinners with friends. Kitchen & Dining: The kitchen is well equipped with a washing machine, fridge, freezer and electric oven with hob and a diner for guests to enjoy their meals when the weather is too cold to sit out. You will find everything you need for a self-catering holiday. Bedrooms: Sleeping 6 people, the bedroom comprise of 1 double room, 1 twin room and 1 room with bunk beds. Bathrooms: The bathroom has a full size bath with an electric overhead shower. Inclusions: Electricity and Wi-Fi are included as is a starter pack of logs. More logs are available to purchase at the Gift Shop.
Outdoor area: Soak up the magnificent loch views, perfect for an afternoon or summer evenings with your favourite aperatif.
Walks: There are many walks to enjoy straight from the door. Take a stroll in the woodland surrounding Kinlochaline or step straight out to the track that meanders down the Loch side into the village.
Estate: Ardtornish and the surrounding areas of Morvern and Ardnamurchan are a paradise for lovers of the outdoors, wildlife watchers and hikers looking to make the most of what the West Coast of Scotland has to offer. From your delightful seashore terrace observe the otters and sea eagles that are frequently seen. Take time to explore this spectacular region from the estate gardens, fresh water lochs, castles, and woodlands rich with wildlife. A wonderful escape for family holidays in one of the most spectacular regions in Scotland.

You have the option to pre-order meat, ready-meals and other Farm Shop staples straight to your accommodation and have a tasty, hassle-free meal waiting upon your arrival. You will also find a selection of soft drinks, cupboard staples, herbs and spices, Artisan goodies, zero-waste sides, snacks and sweet treats in the Farm Shop – perfect for picnics.
Additional Information: Dog Policy: Two well-behaved dogs are welcome £25.00 per dog per night. Car Parking: Car parking available for guests. House Rules: No smoking, no parties or events.
