Excellent location to get around whole peninsula. Spend each morning watching birds land for peanuts on table. Squirrel ran across deck one morning only and apair of white tales flew over being mobbed by a crow. Also saw my first grey wagtail down road to Dorlin. Cottage very comfortable, log burner excellent to set up and lovely to watch. Mingarry hotel great for food, a little posher and glenshiel hotel, more like pub food but good. Would definitely return.

Really glad to hear you enjoyed your holiday at Woodside. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.
Woodside is an amazing place to stay, clean, comfortable and with a wonderful view of the countryside. We had visits from Red Squirrels, Pine Martens and even a Bank Vole, plus over 20 species of birds. It’s a nature lovers ideal home from home.
I booked this last year after finding it through browsing for wildlife holidays, we decided to take a late break last November to check its suitability, we were totally blown away with the abundance of wildlife not only at the property but the surrounding area on both occasions. Although midgies were more of an issue in June, it didn’t stop us from having a fantastic time.

Thank you Nicola. We're so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Woodside and that you enjoyed the fab wildlife that the area has to offer.
In the beautiful and very well equipped vacation home we felt extremely comfortable.
Ardnamurchan is stunning - the scenery as well as the wildlife - deer (came to the cottage!) and rabbits beside the road and seals and dolphins in Loch Sunart. It was a unique, fantastic vacation here, thank you!

Really pleased that you enjoyed your stay and that Woodside was a comfortable base for your stay. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
We had a great stay at Woodside (despite not using satnav and initially going to the the wrong Mingary near Kilchoan!)
Everything in the property was top notch, our only problem was we couldn't turn the heating off as the weather was much better than we were expecting.
Great location.

The cottage was very well equipped and in a beautiful setting, very relaxing.
Beds were clean and comfy as was the majority of the cottage.
I was disappointed with the bathroom as there was quite a lot of scum around the bath.
This was soon remedied with elbow grease and cleaning products there.
This did not detract from our enjoyment at all but it would have been nice not to have to do it

Thank you for taking time to review Woodside. I'm really pleased that you enjoyed your stay and that the majority of the cottage met your expectations. However, I'm very sorry to hear that we didn't come up to scratch on this occasion with the cleanliness of the bathroom and I'll be sure to address this immediately.
Thanks again.
Tony
Very comfortable cottage and well equipped. Good location with some walks ‘from the door’ and other options- kayaking, walking, cycling etc- a short drive. Food shop in the village has reasonable selection and several options to eat out within 3- 30 min drive. Selection of books and DVD’s great for the odd day it might rain too!

Everything you could ever need for a home from home stay in an amazing location.
We saw Red deer pass by the lodge a few times, had regular visits from the local Pine Marten and also saw a White tailed Eagle settle near the pond at the back.
