A serene, coastal 1 bed garden cottage retreat in historic Charlestown.
Welcome to Small Ships, a beautifully kept, open plan one bedroom cottage set within the mature gardens of the owners’ home, right in the heart of Charlestown’s UNESCO World Heritage site. It’s the perfect base for couples looking to relax, explore and enjoy everything this iconic Cornish village has to offer. There is space for a travel cot, but this is not supplied.
The property is comfortable, cosy and thoughtfully designed, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring, with a 5ft king size bed with luxurious bedding, large comfortable sofa, quality furniture, SONOS speaker and a smart TV for those relaxed evenings in. Fast WiFi is also provided free of charge.
Please note: there are no cooking facilities, but you’ll have a Nespresso coffee machine, fridge and kettle with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits provided on arrival. Fantastic restaurants, cafés, and pubs are just a short stroll away, so eating out for breakfast, lunch and dinner is easy, convenient and plentiful.
The property is in a fantastic location and just a 5 minute walk from Charlestown’s picturesque harbour, beach, coastal walks and local bars, shops and restaurants. We are happy to help you with any recommendation for breakfast, lunch, dinner or cocktails - Charlestown has multiple options for all dining and drinking desires.
If you would are celebrating a birthday, anniversary or any other special occasion, please do let us know - we can provide flowers, champagne, chocolates etc for your arrival (additional cost applies)
Perfectly placed for exploring Cornwall, with top attractions close by, such as Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and the beautiful beaches and coastal paths of the south Cornish coastline. Supermarkets and shops are only a 5‑minute drive.
There is on road parking, where a space can be reserved for you on the day of arrival if required.
Please note that we do have a small but friendly and inquisitive border terrier, Maddie. She will no doubt want to say hello and she loves being out in the garden.
